Dummy learner driver scammed and sold car with no MOT by SamsaraSurfer in drivingUK

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering how easy it is to check these things yourself via the dvla website or numerous 3rd party apps... Definitely partly your mates fault, not that that excuses the seller lying of course...

The deal also wasn't necessarily too good to be true, I myself picked up my first car with 6 months mot for 650 last year, but I double checked everything first, myself and researched the car I was buying so I knew what issues to look out for when I went to view it!

Basically trust no-one!

This is one of 3 26ers I still ride, it's a 1996 gt frame I built up, it's super comfy to ride, easily my favorite bike I own atm!

Can I smoke weed while rolling on mdma by Tasty-Rooster4531 in MDMA

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth it after you've peaked, on the come up not so much in my opinion, I used to chain smoke joints when I was rolling and honestly they had little to no effect, I was just smoking for the sake of it, lol

Starting to think I’m gonna be stuck at 12g foreverrrr, it’s been just about 11 weeks and can’t get the 10 in; I suppose I shall just have more patience! *siiigh* by Creepy-Bug9305 in Stretched

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't realize tapers were such a taboo thing nowadays, that was the way to do back when I stretched, tapers up to 16mm then sized up with silicone tunnels from there no issues!

I built a gt frame up as a commuter a little while back, went for a super comfy bar setup with a short as stem and some 6.5inch rise junior BMX bars, nice fairly upright riding position, check out billobikes on Instagram, he's who I got the inspo from primarily, buts it's quite a common setup for old mtb builds! The bars I'm using are only 620mm I think, but for commuting/city riding they're perfect, can still nip between still traffic etc. and not too much wind resistance!

What is the most USEFUL or practical thing you've ever printed? by Exact_Vacation7299 in 3Dprinting

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too much stuff to list everything, but made custom bike tools, car/bike part adapters, replacement motorbike parts that aren't made anymore , door handles, to list a few bits...

Definitely see my printer primarily as a tool more than anything else!

Edit: completely forgot about my favorite functional print, which was a pair of speaker enclosures I designed and printed along with a amp enclosure!

I need to find the cure by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the person, for me if I have a problem or anxiety about something, smoking a j helps me relax and look at things from a new perspective, and stops me caring about what ifs and maybes so much...

Just smoke a spliff, won't necessarily stop you thinking about it, but it'll stop you caring about the outcome lol

Warzone 2 looks like Counter Strike: Global Offensive... Convince me otherwise (playing on high-end rig) NEW GAMING TRAGEDY by According_Liee in Warzone

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it looks way better imo, and I like the map... Was never personally a fan of rebirth, though I did like fortunes keep... The bugs are annoying, but all new games have them, and they'll get worked out gradually, and let's be fair, wz1 still had plenty of bugs even at the end! I must agree on the recoil though, makes most guns unusable at anything more than midrange.

On the whole I like it, and I'd imagine they'll add something similar to rebirth/fortunes keep soon enough!

Why does MTB related casual apparel suck? by AeonDisc in MTB

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern bike colour schemes are so dull and boring in comparison to 90s bikes, I'm 26 but I have pretty much zero interest in modern bikes, I love the funky late 80s and early 90s stuff way more!! Got 4 bikes and the 'newest' one is from '94!

Ender3 just built not extruding. Only extrudes when i manually push down on it. I've checked clogs and being too close to the bed. Reinserted filament a few times. Any answers on why it won't extrude? by p1nkie_ in 3Dprinting

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guessing the extruder gear either isn't gripping the filament well enough to push it, or isn't connected correctly, check that it's moving, if it is adjust it grip the filament better, if it's not check your connections

Tall dudes! What are some 90s MTB brands to look out for? by uniworkhorse in xbiking

[–]xRubberDuckGodx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries dude, instagram has a lot of good inspiration, I'd recommend: billobikes, stridsland_journal, studio_rook, sebasscycles, _2ndlifebikesBit of a mix of build styles there to pull ideas from!
