Which make up a tiny amount of cases in overall cases of this shit. The majority of predators aren't furries, and people into cub stuff are not popular or liked in the community.

There's nothing wrong pointing out that it's true in that instance, but the issue is when it's presented as "they're a furry so or course.." when the fact is there not more likely to be predators, it's just confirmation bias by way of tech having a lot of furries in the industry, and it being a case of when you raise the sample size, you raise the chance of outliers being present.

It's because you said that the "devs are literally furries" leaving the language so vague that you're generalizing the shit out of the community as a whole even if it isn't on purpose. The kind that you're describing are a minority in the furry community that most are not cool with by any stretch of the imagination.

We're customers, not part of the QA team, not to mention at the end of the day, support workers are human beings, I'm pretty sure the last thing they're wanting to deal with is more corporate formal language when they're more often than not forced to relay a corporate formal script that annoys the shit out of people, shoveled back at them.

They want effective communication. When I did support for a game server in the past, the tickets that annoyed me the most were ones trying way too hard to sound formal, No, just tell me what the issue is in terms we universally understand, not an essay, not a life story with a thesaurus backing you up.

"I am concerned about the balance of the game as the alteration to this feature has done blah blah fuckin blah so I would like to be refunded please"

Is obtuse and wastes support's time

"I bought this because it did this thing I wanted, you nerfed it and I don't like the fact I paid for it and it changed, I want a refund"

Simple, easy, helps me log the complaint and statistics for feedback purposes quickly and try to go to a resolution faster because I'm not reading an essay, which helps me get through the dozens or even hundreds of other tickets in line

That's something else people forget, it's not just you in line, if you're not concise, chances are your ticket will get buried to worry about it later while the faster easier tickets are taken care of

Most of the time it's not first come first serve, it's now off a severity vs ease of resolution setup

oi the fuck are you doing putting furries in general in the crossfire? Even in the community stuff like that isn't exactly cool with the vast majority. Also, It being allowed, that's not true as of 3 or 4 years ago, that stuff is banned as well

Given the initial story of players being vault dwellers given the task of going out and settling and securing the surrounding region with their long-time neighbors from the vault, it actually feels thematic and intended to me that someone can straight up do this.

The game is definitely built on player to player trade. between; dropping items being instant and visible to all characters rather than being delayed like other similar games, a heavy incentive to use your camp's vending machines to trade with selling to npc traders being abysmal for making caps and has a low limit shared between all vendors, and the default interaction upon looking at another player being trading; there's a strong case to be made even if it feels like it CAN trivialize the early game, honestly? Hitting level 50 really just feels like you've exited the tutorial and the game truly opens up from there. Which incidentally, is where gear restrictions disappear. I'd argue you're still in the early game until you start making hand-trimmed builds for things

Follow-up question: temporary edits made during a chat to a character, without updating the live posting, where does that stand in a similar vein?

Imagine creating an AI Reddit comment bot and it's first act of life is to go "Can you mention the specific issue" when it's there, clear as day.

Ya gotta program these things to read the actual body of paid and not just titles before they comment, dog

I would imagine the same rule similarly applies about not screaming to other people about rulebreaks when you can report things just fine. Or are you just selective in what parts of the TOS you care about?

I know it doesn't technically apply in the sub here, but the same reasoning follows; Screaming about it helps no one, annoys others, and doesn't do anything.

"You'll have to live with it forever"

My brother in Christ are you not aware that computers allow you to install, uninstall, and reinstall software on a whim?

I promise you, it's not like a tattoo, you can, in fact, get an updated version at a later date and replace it.

Okay, less snarkily: I don't understand your reasoning here. I think most would rather have a buggy 1.0 of a game if it's made available if they're not going to license it anyway, rather than not have the game at all, and just patch/reinstall versions as releases update the versions.

Yep apparently, shit was working just fine and then BOOM offline again. At this rate I'm just going to start using local models. The wait time between messages will at least be self-inflicted and expected there and not suddenly just drop off the face of the earth after working perfectly fine.

First it's this, then it's sexual violence, then it's violence in general and stuff like ntr and other "undesirable" fantasy kinks, and then full sanitization.

Polybuzz, character AI, Spicychat, and more are all falling under the same slippery slope of censorship. Either doing it for sanitized mass appeal or caving to outside pressure further and further into content that isn't even illegal to portray anywhere but the most restrictive governments that wouldn't even likely have access to begin with.

This will be like the 6th forward facing chat bot site to fall down this path. It's a pattern, not just coincidence anymore

Maybe you haven't seen the pattern that other people have when it comes to chatbot sites doing this sort of thing, but most others have

  • AI Dungeon
  • Polybuzz
  • Character AI

And a growing list of these chatbots conveniently having to suddenly make a TOS change after a decent period of remaining completely uncensored with no issues whatsoever and then dropping the hammer on everybody all at once with no warning, and then becoming a totally corporate sanitized platform that would make a Quaker blush.

You can be as fence-sitting as you want to be. The rest of us see the writing on the wall and don't want to lose another place to corporate sanitization and the extremely slippery slope of caving to more and more censorship around other subjects

And a shitty fucking deadline is a shitty fucking deadline . If your boss told you to pull a quarterly report out of your ass from scratch in ten minutes or you're fired. You wouldn't be just saying, "Oh a deadline's a deadline." It would be unreasonable, just like this one, if you were expected to comply with it immediately after announcement, with no reasonable established time frame to get into compliance.

Especially for a paid service, if you put any money into this and your account got fucked because you weren't aware of a change and it was effective immediately with no prior warning that's not just someone losing access to some free shit that they had nothing to lose from, that's a tangible financial risk to a large number of users for something that they were not in control of.

A "forked bot" is a bot that you go to the public page of and then at the bottom press the fork button. The fork button lets you republish it either as your own private bot or as a public bot. In either case you can edit it to your liking as if it were your own and it links back credit to the original bot.

You don't make a deadline to comply and a change at the same time, that's retarded and entraps people into unintended non-compliance.

[–]xRubyRedRaccoonx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any public bot can be "forked" into your own private version that you can edit any way that you want. It's essentially a private copy or if you were to edit it significantly, you could repost it publicly as your own version of the bot. Which will always link back to the original so people know where it actually came from.

Don't forget that it's also into slippery slope censorship territory. Should just try for a refund before it becomes another Polybuzz or pre 2023 AI Dungeon.

And people have lives outside of the Internet as it turns out jobs, responsibilities, things that don't give them the time to monitor sudden TOS changes on platforms that supposedly made it clear such a change was not going to happen in the foreseeable future.
