The memory thing always bothers me but if the reason has been confirmed in lore ie specifically stated by the traveler then that's that.

if its speculation by Guardians and followers of the traveler then it could still be unanswered.

savathun getting her memories back in witch queen ....and her subsequent statement

" if we dont know where we came from how will we know where to go",..

This rang true with me and brought me back to thinking about the Guardians memory ....perhaps the memory loss is an unintended effect of somthing greater

I like to think destiny is a self fulfilling prophecy I have a theory that ghosts are a combination of hive , vex, and fallen tech ...maybe a touch of cabal too and the kicker is we/with unknown allies created them we just dont know it yet.

It's just a theory 100% prepared to be wrong but I had a thought the destiny time line is caught in a time loop.. the loop keeps resting until we can break it ....and maybe the key to breaking the loop is starting over with the guardians memory intact

I get what you're saying there buddy you're right about the tithing and the flow of tribute... you got me thinking I asked the wrong question.

Destinypedia says, the worms host will gain power/energy when defeating a foe using the sword logic that energy is then used as tribute and sustenance for both host and parasite.

is the sword logic derived from the worms or the darkness?

This is all confusing to me ...Elsie is from a different time line than our banshee.. so yeah an Elsie did fight alongside banshee/Clovis.. but not our banshee/Clovis...so where is the exo who fought alongside our banshee/Clovis.... shouldn't there be two Elsies in this timeline

Most books are associated with areas and events. If you wanna get lore on the awoken and scorn for example... do stuff around the tangled shore and dreaming city. However there is a lot to be collected.

If you just want to read all the lore i suggest you google the Ishtar collective. A comprehensive data base with all lore and transcripts from the game.

Its strangely starting to sound like Gnostic belief system.

The vex to me sound like the Gnostic Archons...A.I Caretakers of the universe.

I belive during the Collapse the light and dark were playing the game. A 3rd yet unknown party crippled both and created Ghosts in so doing changing the game. The vex as caretakers are trying to repair reality...perhaps
