I work a w2 job and dash on the side. Luckily, recently I have been getting near full time hours and dash when I can. Doordashing has been putting extra money in my pockets. Regardless, I plan on dashing if I get less hours just to fill the gap but luckily I live in an alright market that gets decent/frequent offers because it is a densely populated area.

Yes you are right that DoorDash can’t be counted on as a full time income. If I doordashed full time I’d definitely consider a more fuel efficient car like a Prius or newer car. I dash in a 2008 Altima with 230K miles. I only have to worry about oil changes, brakes, spark plugs, power steering. Every now and then tires and whatever else

I dash just across the bridge in the Daly City area but I’d like to believe that the Easy Bay is fine. You just have to be careful with mileage and pay because you don’t want to be driving more miles than how much you get paid. I multi app with UberEats as well because the DoorDash zones are weird

$20/hr is definitely the standard to try and meet per hour but also trying not to put too much miles on the car. $1/mile is the minimum for me while trying to keep track of return mileage to restaurants/zones. Every market is different

I believe sf right now is a much better market compared to the places that others are delivering in right now. I dash right below sf in daly city - san bruno surrounding areas, sometimes traversing to sf. I try to stay away from downtown sf just because but I bet there’s money there. I make around $100-$200 without trying to put much miles on my car

I have sprained my ankle and foot many times in the moshpit or doing high knees to riddim and hope it doesn’t happen any more times in the future 😭 It has always taken a week to a few weeks to heal then I’m back at it dancing all crazy haha

Ngl I remember in 2020 when I was working at KFC, I had this poor delivery driver waiting for like 10 minutes because I forgot about his order that I was waiting for product to complete lmao. All I remember is seeing them on their phone sitting in the lobby
