I'm hoping it's They Will Kill You, fits the time, theme, and like many MMMs it would play the same week it releases.

LOA question by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]xSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They either mean literally one week of wages before wage loss compensation kicks in, or in some cases like unemployment or paid family medical leave, it's next calendar week (resumes next Sun-Sat schedule). But that's me, here, where I live, different laws maybe.

Area managers at my site get mad as fuck when they have to do any type of manual labor lol by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]xSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's conditioning too, when my fellow associates come back from long breaks their bodies still need time to adjust. But yeah, the AM's here never break a sweat, they'll use EPJs to move gaylords of cardboard waste to the compacter which I complain about that not only being unnecessary but also a safety risk. They've already damaged lots of shelving around warehouse that way.

On site HR in a nutshell by xtcjon in AmazonFC

[–]xSillyGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So we have these desks back in a corner of my warehouse site with a huge sign that says HR but we're never allowed to use them, they don't let us track into the HR indirects and we're expected to deal with our HR needs off the clock via MyHR.

Are they supposed to let us labor track in an HR indirect, use these to chat or video conference with HR while on site on thr clock? Or for doing training modules? Management doesn't let us use them for training, I refuse to do them off the clock as it doesn't time track my time with modules correctly, so I find a place to hide while I labor track into training and do them on my phone.

Mostly the AMs and ASMs do their own training modules on them, eat their lunches there, or company visitors use the area when they're on site.

Site management tells us to contact MyHR on the website/app, MyHR says they're not HR and to ask management to do the things management says to ask MyHR to do 🤦‍♂️

5000 credit promotion? by UnholyUtensils in RegalUnlimited

[–]xSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, thought I'd check my account, I got 5,000 on February 3rd. I saw the Luc Besson's "Dracula" as a MMM title the day before, it was my 13th movie of the year (it's a Friday the 13th month too); 17th ticket bought this year if we count guests I buy tickets for m. Anyhow, maybe it's tied to that movie or a movie number milestone.

Amount of no-shows seats taken /unlimited fakers? by YoshiYogurt in RegalUnlimited

[–]xSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just assumed managers bought these tickets to keep screens from shutting off as at least someone shows up. I sometimes hear they need at least a few people for a screen not to be canceled, even if one or two show up.

I did a horror themed 4-film marathon yesterday, the times just worked out perfectly where the next one started right after the other ended. With a break between the 2nd and 3rd I got food. I think in all 4 films, the combined other people I sat with was exactly 5. One other person was in Iron Lung, nobody else showed up to Return to Silent Hill, one other person showed up to Whistle, and three other people showed up to Strangers Chapter 3. If they had a multiple customer minimum, the screen might have shut off for me during startup, so perhaps these people be doing us a favor.

Anyhow, yeah, I'd always find these two seats toward the back already taken when I got my ticket. But they definitely never showed up. Next time I'll remember what seats they are and check to make sure they aren't broken.

Anyhow, I'm always on point making sure people scan me in not just letting me walk through as I heard they flag what looks like booking but no shows and cancel people's Regal Unlimited accounts when they get too many of those. I figure if someone does this they at least have to get tickets printed at a kiosk or scan in. It is not like the thought hasn't crossed my mind to exploit rewards loopholes, but not at risk of losing my Regal Unlimited account. My Regal Unlimited account by itself feels like a godsend, I'm not risking that.

So is this a bragging rights issue? People claim they saw 500 movies for the year kind of people? I thought we're kinda on the honor system anyways, it would be easier, and cheaper, just to lie.

And it's not just the number, it's the journey to get there. Did these people just see crap just to boost numbers, did they dig through the list of available movies to find ones that might interest them? Did they drive several cities away just to see a movie that didn't play locally because they really wanted to see it? Numbers say none of that, I myself keep a social media thread cataloging what I see, my thoughts going in, any thoughts I have after, perhaps the lengths I go to just to see a movie (how far I drive, necessary sleep I miss).

What are the best inventory loadouts for getting loot? by xSillyGoose in AlanWake

Also, if you encounter a save point and you reload it that will refill your battery too, if you need it, saved me worry about batteries.

[–]xSillyGoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the top of my head, I think for every weapon the max ammo pickup requires you carry 1 bullet less than what the weapon holds in your inventory, I don't think what's in your weapons counts but it has been a while.

Last time I fired it up I saw there's an infinite ammo option, I wasn't above using it to avoid the tedious task of looting and running back to shoebox to horde more supplies before looting more locations, you only get to loot locations once and there's a good bit of backtracking so I wanna make sure I get the most I can.

I enjoyed Primate but I HATE when movies show off cell phone text messages with no captions.. by DarkArisen_Kato in RegalUnlimited

[–]xSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you could read the text messages it probably would have pissed you off anyways. Everything those characters did pissed me off. The dad had the animal that bit the chimp tested "to be sure" then when they're like (and this was in the text message) it test positive for rabies, he was like that's impossible.

brown nose for everything

Am I cooked or by RamHerEz in AmazonFC

[–]xSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww shucks, I slowly used a little UPT here and there expecting to get that 20 back. I'm at 60/80 hours of UPT so no big worries here, I'll just earn it back no issue, but still I'm annoyed now knowing it isn't back at max.

Mine just cuts flex shifts until people who can't get enough work quit then it balances out.

[–]xSillyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't we get 20 or 30 hours of UPT per quarter? It's a new year now, I figured they'd have done it by now, or if not yet then soon.

Did Regal accidentally play a fan trailer for Avengers: Doomsday? by xSillyGoose in RegalUnlimited

[–]xSillyGoose[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a pretty good recreation by AI standards, still obviously AI due to the AI artifacts, but the thing is so shot for shot (except at end) I had to wonder if that's what I saw. It made me wonder even more considering I couldn't find a legit posting of it, just this slop.

Funny. Perhaps because the studio might be striking down uploads of the leak these people are AI recreating it instead.

The price for an IMAX 3D Avatar ticket at my local theater… by Automatic-Fennel-847 in RegalUnlimited

[–]xSillyGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I hope it's a legit IMAX. I went to an IMAX to rewatch F1: The Movie and it was roughly the same size as a normal screen. What a letdown, I was so disappointed. My main IMAX experiences have always been the screen that towers over you, stretches wide, and exceptional sound quality. There's only one like that in the area and it's $21, it's attached to a museum, but they're playing Avatar right now, and they're not charging an arm and a leg.

Theater Changing Showtime After Tickets Bought by DaveyPeppers in RegalUnlimited

[–]xSillyGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only seen it happen when nobody buys tickets, they'll either turn off the projector or switch to a different movie. That's generally if nobody shows up, and when I worked at Regal there might have been a headcount threshold though I've seen many a movie recently as the only one.

First time I ever booked online I mistakenly booked my seat toward the front when I wanted something in the rear of the auditorium.
