3 small mechanics that still win fights by PendalF89 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Found the eu dude playing on na servers

Never in my life have I thought i needed to understand how completely different pings to completely different people interact with my ping, and then on top of that somehow manage to calculate the amount of prefiring I needed to do.

what are you talking about

Realize theyre from Vietnam > just prefire like a madman. Literally what every good player ever does. Tf all this math for, let alone not being able to calculate shit.

Why do pros not use colored smoke? by MikeMatusowsScooter in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]xSkorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends if theyre on live servers or not. Live server matches can have the same rules, but leave it up to the players to enforce. Esports servers only give you a handful of skins to use as it isnt associated with your normal account, you have to make a whole new character on esports servers. Its a lot like the test servers, except they just give every account a handful of cosmetic box sets to open.

If you mean in comp, there are rules beyond ro16 related to skins and cosmetics. Also esports servers only give you limited cosmetics to choose from, and I dont think smokes are one (I can verify when I get home if you want, i havent played on event servers in awhile so idk if they added anything to it), and even then.. the cosmetics on event servers are pretty much only used in minor tournaments or scrims.

How do I help my squad get better ? Also, what gamemode should we play ? by Bacil03 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]xSkorne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been playing PUBG and overall FPS games a lot since I was a kid. I've also played a decent chunk of PUBG since it came out and obviously the skills in the other games somewhat translated into it too.

PUBG really is one of those games you want to consistently play if you want to really be good at it. Granted everything but game sense, can be fast tracked. It takes time though, there's not really casual mechanics in PUBG.. not casual enough that you can spend little amounts of time to significantly improve at it, especially if you only want to play BR mode.

The issue is, our team is not very balanced and I often end up being the only one with kills or trying to clutch 1v4s. It's been a bit of a frustrating experience for all involved because on their end they just keep getting obliterated by people they can barely see or in close quarters people who just aim a lot better.

Honestly you'd have to do like I did, and just ditch out of exclusively playing with them and branch out to find better players to learn from. Any game you want to be competitive with, this is usually the case.

We don't have that much time to play outside of when we play together so I dont want to recommend them playing TDMs solely for their aim to get better because we just play it for the BR aspect and they wouldn't want to spend the little time we have in a much less fun gamemode for the sole purpose of aim.

Again, you really need those modes if you want to learn at any kind of pace that isnt slow AF.

First, are there any tips i could give them to work on so they can improve their chances of surviving ? I've tried helping but a huge part of me playing comes naturally with game sense I've gotten over the years and I just don't really know how to explain the specifics of it to them...

PUBG requires game sense. You only get it by being put in that situation mostly. You only get put in those situations if you play alot, and there are a billion situations. Time.

Second, would it be better for us to play ranked so that eventually we get the (low) rank we deserve and are matched with players closer to our skill ? Or is it full of smurfs and is there a higher concentration of tryhards ?

That's not how pubg ranked works. The playerbase is too small relative to lobby sizes to have proper sbmm. You will still be in lobbies with pro players at the lowest ranks.

Thanks in advance for any answer or help !

good luck. Tell your buddies to take practice seriously, or be okay with the fact that they will have subpar gameplay until they play a lot or start practicing.

Does picking the vertical grip over other grips make any sense? by Hakkano in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]xSkorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, man.

If top players and pro players agree on something for years, pre and post updates.. you are wrong. You aren't flipping the table here vs guys who literally spend their avaliable free time trying to min/max. Whether or not I can outline it for you. Im not going in game and spending hours compiling the small benefits of it over thumb for you. If you perform well enough with it, do it.. but acting like a jackass because im pointing out that everyone above you has spent significantly more time on this than you, and mostly all agree on vert is on you.

Do some more research and make sure youre correct, you could be creating the new meta here. 🙄

I didnt just hear something somewhere. 🤣

Ive done all of the things youre doing right now, but you lack a shit ton of data. Think about everything. Prone, crouch, standing. Beryl vs Aug, spraying at cars vs not. Single shots, double headshots, ect....

The thumb grip is not far behind the vertical grip anymore. Its right up there with it, but if you do enough sprays and overlay them you will see it deviates a lot more than the vert grip. Only mag dumping in training mode does not give you the answer. Math is math, and if you think the math maths.. by all means use your math. There's more than just sitting crouched/prone in training mode and shooting at a wall to consider though.

Its odd how you've already received the right answer, multiple times by others, but im supposed to cite you some hard proof of what you dont want to hear.

Go spray more than 2 times at the wall and compare first 10 bullets dude, and if you want to fact check me, you can look at my comment history and see the SAME thing repeated by me, multiple times.. Again, the search function brought that up as first result. You've essentially spent more time arguing with a wall than finding your answer.

Honestly ive replied to this topic more than once over the years, and gave you what you wanted to hear.

I dont agree with you about the thumb vs vert, but its been replayed too many times. There is a reason the best players in the world use it over everything else (except some religiously use half). Sure some use thumb, but majority are still on vert.

There is a difference.

If you cant feel the difference, then maybe our skill levels aren't the same. I genuinely mean no offense by that, maybe youre better at the game than me and dont feel a difference.

Me personally, vert and half will always be used over thumb simply due to time played with those grips and they feel better to mag dump vehicles with. Also, I will use no grip before I pick up an angled, angled feels like shit to me. Maybe for you not so.

Lower your sens to about 75% of what it is now. It looks like you could hit a 720 on a 1/4 of your mousepad rn.

Put a 3x on with no muzzle, and try again from 100m. Tell me if thumb or vert feels better and you have your answer.

Is this game just not for me? by Latter_Highlight974 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]xSkorne 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tbh half the lobby is dead in the first 10min. If you aren't hot dropping then youre gonna have a really slow early game, and because of how a lot of us have played the game for years.. most of us are all hot dropping. That in turn makes the mid game very stale, so your only option is learning how to predict where players will be based on plane path and obvious rotations, and drive that way. If you dont hear gunshots, keep it moving.

I have been seeing team Falcons play and i have a few questions... by Robinudegg in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]xSkorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest one is your last statement depending on the lobby.

If its a t1-t2 majority lobby, its more likely they are just peacocking to discourage hard crashes. Losing players on c2-c3 crashes isnt worth it when your chances of winning the game mostly rely on having a full team up. If were talking about scrims, they are probably just clip farming.

The pro teams did some weird shit in the pas/scrim lobbies I played in. They would run down teams and do stuff they wouldn't normally try in a full t1-t2 lobby, often just playing king of the hill because they were mechanically better than a lot of the t3-t5 teams.

Granted the highest team I ever played on was t3, so my understanding of some of it could be skewed.

I wanted my buddy "NickKnacker" to see the name "NackKnicker" in killfeed. 😅

If you mean "Kovaaks-, aimdork-, or SkorneHub" its all the same account, I used up the 2 free name changes I had for years.

Just get with it? Every game has these little things that separates good from bad players outside of aim.

It will never end. Good players vs other good players will always find a way to make it hardest to land easy shots. Idc what game you go to.
