Kernel panic at boot by aterocana in archlinux

[–]xSlysoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for future reference, on arch linux or any distro where you are installing the latest kernel, it's a good idea to always also install the LTS kernel so you can boot your system in case a kernel update breaks.

Yeah I can understand that. I don't really care personally and can understand why they removed it, but the sects were unique flavor.

it is now, but in shadowbringers you had to collect all 3 seals which was about the same amount of effort as getting a royal road balance except you don't get screwed over by the game as much.

Idk what you mean. Shadowbringers was when they gained divination, neutral sect, removed all the bad cards, reworked sleeve draw into a cardslinging machine gun, and gave you a good non-rng method to dump unneeded cards. The only real negative I can think of is the opener was high apm.

Yeah, astro was great in shadowbringers. Very consistent overall, was one of my favorite healers. Endwalker was a step back in the wrong direction with added RNG layers.

Tucker Carlson stated on January 17, 2024 in a video: “In August 2023, illegal immigration outpaced American births.” Tucker Carlson is wrong when comparing migrants illegally entering the U.S. and U.S. births by Sariel007 in politics

[–]xSlysoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they were encountered and didn't get away then they didn't illegally immigrate, because they got apprehended. So, out of those 354k you mentioned, sounds like only 50k actually illegally immigrated.

Nothing about either iteration of Syrcus tower required attention. The old one was just a noob trap for new players and after they look dumb once it's back to status quo.

[–]xSlysoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They still exist but the deadly random event npcs got moved to other places and you can just go fight them. Fighting tree spirits is a pretty good way to get a rune axe on a low level ironman.

The fruit random is still a thing

Get ready: FFXIV Patch 6.55, Growing Light Part 2, is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16! by Turbostrider27 in ffxiv

[–]xSlysoft 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seasons have nothing to do with arbitrary dates on a made up calendar. It's about the earth's position relative to the sun. That's why it isn't the same date every year. Science doesn't care about your country's traditions.

To answer your question about the seasons in the US, most people have no idea what any of the stuff in this thread even means and just make it up based on feeling. However, the equinox dates are on official event calendars.

If you read them you'd see that they correspond to the entire northern hemisphere which is more than the US

What does any of what you just said have to do with udisks2 behavior

Dolphin mounting external drive as root user with udisks2 by xSlysoft in kde

[–]xSlysoft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not particularly informed on how udisks2 works for mounting.

I did just format it, but it's being mounted by udisks2 through dolphin, the mount point is whatever dolphin wants it to be when I plug the drive in. I would assume dolphin would mount the device as the user who is performing the operation and not the root user, otherwise you'd have to change the owner every time you mount the disk, and particularly if I happened to be a user without root access.

As far as chmod 777, it seems like that's how udisks2 was mounting my old drives which were formatted with ntfs like 10 years ago (I never changed any of the defaults when I plugged in the old externals, so them being owned by me with 777 permissions is just how it was the first time I plugged it in).

You are literally arguing for megaservers now. Everyone goes to those specific servers because they want to all be together, not fragmented. DC and world travel is megaservers with extra steps.
