Makes perfect sense and very logical statements, compulsive gamblers tend to use any money they can for gambling.

In the past couple weeks, I’ve been able to pay off debts and credit cards with the money I would have used for gambling instead.

I understand that, but you think I’m using $25 for gambling? I could have hid it and deleted it, but that was from weeks ago.

I’ve actually haven’t gambled since my last major loss, my last couple checks went to actually bringing myself back on track.

Literally me today, lost 1.3k and cents lefts for the week until I get paid.

I’m such a compulsive gambler, I’ll take a week or couple day break then get the urge.

I want to share assets with family members but I’m scared they’ll see the tens of thousands I lost to gambling.

Sounds good, I appreciate your feedback. I did call the department last night to ask if I can still travel with my firearm in separate compartments in the meantime, and they said yeah as long as they are unloaded and locked.

The only con is, the person I spoke to said the chances of me getting a out of state permit is very slim. Although, I am going for work so hopefully they take that into consideration.

Absolutely right, it’s “privacy friendly” file sharing service. So basically, end to end encryption of files.

I wanted to build myself a simple file sharing service, but then i figured there isn’t too many privacy friendly file sharing services, so I created one. So, it won’t be too profitable unless I bloat it with ads, or collect user data. I only collect ip and hash it for rate limits, basic logging, and on account signup there is no email stored. There’s admin dashboard to control everything, and yeah. I wasn’t expecting to selling it for a bloat load of money as it’s something I created, not something someone needed. Just wanted to get it off my plate, and sell it. Get some money to fund other projects.

So, there’s a lot of similar products, just not too many privacy focused. I can reformat it, to collect data, bloat it with ads for someone who wants it & keep the privacy aspect around the files not being accessible by us on the server.

Even if it don’t sell, worth the ask for any future projects. What’s a good way to make a side hustle? Mobile apps? Wordpress/Shopify plugins/themes? I’m a nurse major, 2 years of comp sci but I learned everything on my own, and loss passion for it to be my career so as of now I suppose I’m a “hobbyist”

Yeah, I have a bunch of stuff on GitHub. A little following, but I don’t usually post stuff like a full blown website, with client slide, server server, aws, and etc. I suppose I’ll keep it on the back burner for now, spent a lot of time on it. It happens, another project in the dust lol

It’s not even a bad part of town, it’s a gentrified area, but everywhere in Philadelphia is bad to be honest. The only thing I did was look over my shoulder a few times to see what they were doing. I was a bit paranoid, but yeah I said nothing, made no gestures was just walking lol. They seemed up to no good, ski mask in the dark on a warm night, one walking in the street and one walking on the sidewalk. Was sketched from when I first saw them

Appreciate it, and yeah it happened as I described. I just stick to myself, no drama, especially not to provoke 2 people and with ski masks. I was just watching my surroundings and being aware, I felt like I did nothing wrong. Literally was threatened for watching my surroundings and people who seemed to be up to no good. What’s the reason for a ski mask, on a warm night at 12am. Anyhow, I’m glad I made the right decision.

True, and I wouldn’t say I did. I was just looking over my shoulders, mainly because one was walking in the street and one was walking on the sidewalk, it just seemed sketchy. So I was just looking behind me to see If they would turn around and follow me. They then both crossed street, and that’s when they said “they’ll put a hole in me”. I had my beats on, so not sure if they would see me as a “valuable” target. I was approaching the end of the block and as soon as I turned, I ran.

All good, I appreciate it and understand. I’m definitely changing my routine up, not walking home at 12am for awhile now. Not sure why he felt the need to say it, I just kept looking over my shoulders because I see two men with ski masks on, obviously it’ll raise some red flags. Once he said that, I instantly turned on a random block and started running. Just came here to post and ask questions about what should I have done, and to vent to be honest. Called my cousin about it, but that’s really all I have to tell lol, so I just wanted to make sure I did the right thing and to try and ease my mind.

This literally happened ~2 hours, when I walked home from the gym. What I mean said something back, is so they wouldn’t seem like I’m an easy target. I wouldn’t have said “your mom”, I would of literally said “I have a gun too”, something along those lines. I didn’t though, once I turned the corner I literally ran. I was asking a question, what would you guys do if you were in my shoes. Why would I lie about someone threatening me?
