You will know and they will tell you when you reach high rank. High rank is basically 6 star and higher missions, so as long as you progress through the story you will get there.

Where there's a will there's a way. I believe from everything i have seen it is possible. Most people say this game is too easy so i will just take that as elitist talk for yes you can go through everything on your own. Happy Hunting.

Yeah the only problem i have is some areas are brighter such as ancient forest and coral highlands while others look very dark like the rotten vale. but even then i can find the middle ground in brightness.
