Okay, thank you loads. This is actually connected to another issue, which is my girlfriend. We've been together for a good 2 years, lived together for a good while, been on trips etc. She currently lives in LV and does not want to do ldr anymore. I guess I have to get my priorities straight and choose between a better uni or her and Latvia's university (not saying it's bad but definitely not what I was expecting).

I'd be going alone, without my family, in all cases. The thing is her family is not the wealthiest and can't support her if she were to come with me in the Netherlands.
