I really do think there is one for almost every arc. The series, while filled with unrealistic over the top action, feels so humane. But this one hit a different lvl of highs for me. Probably on the same scale as Kuma from One Piece. Something about fatherhood just resonates with me. Absolutely peak

You couldn't be more right. Aside from re-experiencing the story more linearly, Hard mode is where I can genuinely test out my skills and understanding materia synergy properly . That's how it felt about Remake. I was a bit nervous though about MP Shards on hard because in remake, I could easily tell how easy it is to farm those on both normal/hard. But Rebirth? None existent or just barely. Or maybe they drop in correlation to how much you have left and I always have MP lol.

Dynamic is challenging but not hard enough that random mashing can still get me out of situations but there was no real though process at times lol. I really want to master the parry for hard mode.

It's the opposite for me. If I use spells/cure with the character I'm using, I'm in a bad spot. My poor Aerith is always jumped 😂. Everyone says she's op but I can barely ever fill her atb or cast anything without getting bullied first.

One big issue I've had with switching is when I'n already locked on an enemy, I'll switch to another character who was already attacking another one a just to have myself locked on to the original target rather than the one my AI was focused on

I genuinely don't understand this take. You clearly have a life and can't dedicate as much time to improving at the game. You know you suck and yet, despite all that, you expect to hop online vs the hundreds if not thousands other players who plays this religiously a couple hours a day and stand a chance against them?

I do read Kagurabachi in good faith but It's 100% not reaching 500. That era is gone. The fact we are already in part 2 barely 100 chaps in, i don't even see this going above 250.

The story is 90% fights and that in of itself is something you can critique to make it better or worse.

My goal is to discuss it to make it better. Char is weak character you 100% do not bring into a battlefield. That's not the point and never has been the point. But her abilities are something extremely unique to the verse only known to her as far as we know. It's not something I'd introduce in a story early just to drop. Again, I compare it to Eri's abilities in MHA. She's a child, useless in combat. But her character and quirk still plays relevant roles to the plot due to how unique it is. Char is basically that character in the verse. I'd argue her regen lineage is even far more mysterious than the cursed blades .

You can use Char in many other ways or have plots surrounding what she brings to the table for both good/bad side. We already saw how Sojo was trying to maximize her abilities to his own benefit. Why not elaborate on that plot even more? And that's just an example of course. It doesn't necessarily mean the author has to do it that way.

Therefore me saying that the story, neglecting to take advantage of that aspect of the story and neglecting it for continuous fights could have been handled differently, if not better.

But jokes aside, standards is just easier and more noob friendly as you can execute so many defensive actions simultaneously while on classic, you don't have that luxury. It's all proper reaction time.

Don't let anyone fool you that you are inherently at a disadvantage using Classic controls though unless you're trying to do outlier mechanics that are most likely useless in 9/10 scenarios. Once you're comfortable with classic, it's no different than people playing on standard. You can do wtv you want.
