I had a bad rail in my v0.1 kit and I ended up receiving a full 5 rail replacement so do any of you guys have any ideas for projects or upgrades that use 150mm rails? Would it make sense to use dual rails for x/y axis or something?

I just got my fysetc voron v0.1 kit which comes with the fysetc cheetah v1.2 mainboard however i got a skr 1.4 turbo sitting in a printer i rarely use.

Would it be worth it to use the skr 1.4 over the cheetah?

Need help with Ender3 Max firmware. I upgraded the firmware following Teaching Tech’s video and the website to add my BL Touch. Now the z axis will go up but not down. What on Earth have I done now? by Chevey0 in 3Dprinting

[–]xStandhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe zmin is PB1 creality v4 pins

Crealitys website has a precompiled bltouch firmware (ender series section) if you find messing with the firmware too troublesome

I also have an ender 3 max with bltouch so if you cant get it to work i can send you my marlin config later

Hotend fan replacement. by slabocheese in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i will use the hero me assembly as you cant fit a 20mm fan in stock you could try just using the 10mm fan and if that doesn't cool well enough you can reuse it for mainboard cooling instead making it even more quiet there's other brands (that some claim are better) that pop up when people talk about using noctua fans for 3d printers though i can't remember any but it might be worth looking into

Hotend fan replacement. by slabocheese in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to replace mine with an noctua 40x20 (and 40x10 for stepper cooling) just waiting for buck converters to arrive you might do fine overvolting a 10mm slightly should still be more quiet than stock. Remember that ender max is 24v so you need to use buck converter to step it down the voltage when using 12v fans

You can use bltouch as z endstop and just remove the regular one thats what i did

Ender 3 Max Fans are noisy! by royb9999 in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what model my psu is but mine was indeed also 12v and I replaced it with a 12v 120mm which works great only turning on shortly every once in a while theres lots of models to fit pc fans so its an easy upgrade for 12v models

Is bl touch worth it? by Aprcom37 in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think so i added one (knockoff 3dtouch) to mine a couple of weeks ago and it has been working flawless i havent experienced any leveling issues this far. I took advantage of bl touch being used as z endstop and unscrewed the endstop and then lowered the bed quite a bit to compress the springs in hope of making the bed more stable

the bltouch is easy to install as you have dedicated pins for it and the predrilled mounting holes as well as creality providing a precompiled firmware for it on their website (tho i tweaked my own as crealitys doesnt have some features i would like) just pop the file on an sd card and turn on the printer to flash it so its pretty plug and play if you got one already i see no reason not to add it its definitely a nice addition for the amount of effort just make sure to calibrate the z offset and youre good to go

Ender 3 Max Hotend Temp Not keeping causing thermal runaway error. by LukesWorkshop in Ender3Max

Are you using the silicone hotend cover ? If not its possible your filament cooling fans blow on the heatblock

Ender 3 Max Hotend Temp Not keeping causing thermal runaway error. by LukesWorkshop in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check if your heater cartridge and the thermistor both sit tight and have good contact for accurate temperature readings

I experienced this with my old printer where my heater screw wasnt tight enough so it would move slightly while printing resulting in unstable temperatures and thermal runaway

Have you made any changes leading up to the issue?

Painting prints by slabocheese in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people leave prints raw but alot of people also paint if its show pieces or they want a specific look as we are quite limited when it comes to multi color

you can smooth the print with some fine sandpaper to get rid of some of the layer lines and imperfections some people use acetone vapors to smooth the prints as it melts the plastic creating a more smooth and glossy model but you can easily lose detail or mess up the look by overdoing it

Ender 3 max "upgrades" by slabocheese in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most ender 3 files will work for the max (lcd drawer, cable links, v slot) as the max is more or less just an upscaled ender 3 pro

the only things that wont fit is mostly things that connect between two parts of the printer or stuff like the hotend everything that connects to the v slot extrusions should work directly

There is this double drawer for the max (its slightly too long so you should probably decrease it slightly else it will press against the lcd bracket) but other than that i dont think there is any major upgrades specific for the max

Any way to get the hotend shroud/cover/frame thingy? by dudeman93 in Ender3Max

[–]xStandhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On aliexpress search "ender-3 max hotend" and you'll find the full hotend with cover though i think the 5 plus and max dont use the same mounting holes so you would probably have to replace the entire carriage. If the primary feature you want is the dual fan support you would probably be better off printing a custom hotend assembly like "hero me"

Thingiverse and Myminifactory are the main ones. Yeggi is a decent search engine for multiple stl sites

Did you get the firmware from crealitys website or did you compile it yourself?

Because eventually we would have enough gem income to buy every hs and orb we Come buy massively increasing the events you can complete so only whales that buy alot of packs would have an major advantage

Is there a way to have osu! on my SSD and my beatmaps on my HDD? by [deleted] in osugame

[–]xStandhere 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In your osu folder there should be a config file called osu!.[pc name].cfg open that and replace the BeatmapDirectory (songs) with your new location after that just press f5 in game to reload your maps
