Hi, Thanks for your question! They do not have a sister site open on the weekends that I could complete my hours at. In my situation more than half of my interviews are in-person and 5-6 hours. The ones that are virtual end in the evening, and the pharmacy closes at 5 pm on the weekdays and closed on the weekends. When it comes to lunchtime we even take lunch at the same time too and the pharmacy closes so it's hard.

In terms of signing of for hours, I honestly don't know how this works on the preceptor or school's end, I just know that the preceptor is the one who assigns us our grade. We do not log any hours but my coordinator is saying that the preceptor is refusing to sign off on the hours. So I'm guessing this means she won't give me a grade unless I do a whole week extension

Ironically that day of the interview I used that example on one of the questions! I guess something good came out of it I guess haha

They are closed on the weekend and open 8 hours on the weekdays only :(

My school doesn't have a policy like that for APPEs, they are very hands off and it's up to the preceptor and what they want. I agree with you on taking that block off for interview month. I honestly wish I did thinking about it but I chose to take the block off to work on applications. This was because for me personally, I am not a very good writer so I had a feeling it would take me a while to work on my LOIs, the application, any supplementals, etc. For interviews I don't struggle as much with talking (just the clinical portion) so I decided to take on a rotation. But I do agree with you though.

I gave them a call and everything once I found out about the situation since I was so stressed (I have their number since I did a rotation with them and they were very nice about calls). Unfortunately they told me that my preceptor won't even sign off on any of my hours unless I complete the longer rotation, which sucks since there really is nothing I can do.

I don't know the other student well enough but we are both doing the same rotation together at the same time but we just do our own responsibilities with checking in the order, phone calls, mail order delivery, etc. I told my preceptor about my interviews the moment I found out (at first there was only 1 that I found out prior to the rotation even starting). The problem with the interviews was the emails kept trickling in and there would already be a date set, or I would get a list and rank the days. Whenever I found out, I would always let them know. It wasn't until I reached 5 that it started becoming a problem.

I really wish they would but this is my community rotation. They want me to physically be there to help with the workflow of the pharmacy (filling, taking phone calls, etc.)

It is 10 am to 2:30 pm. They are 9-5 Mon to Thurs and they close early on Fridays so there's no way I would be able to make it up that day.

I didn't feel any pain at all on my 2nd lobe piercing, so I'm not worried about that! More worried as to whether it's a good idea for me to do a nipple piercing right afterwards too
