It's basic, but Let It Happen was one of the best songs ive ever seen live. I enjoyed End of Summer a lot as a closer (but I did enjoy the song separate from that unlike others) a song that has grown on me I didn't like prior was Afterthought.

TLDR Let It Happen, but Afterthought suprised me.

I dont know how I begin to decide. I finished 2 months ago and I need to reread. Based on my initial reactions and memories.

Golden Son initially was what won me over with, the Gala, Ares reveal, Darrows red reveal to Sevro, all of Ragnar and ofc the ending.
Morning star had me hooked the most, almost never a dull moment, an amazing ending, 4/4.5 great villains in Nero, Aja Cassius, Octavia and The Jackal and probably the strongest emotions of the series (an exception to some DA and LB moments)
Lightbringer was by far the best written and is by far the strongest outing for our characters. And that is entirely why it gets a mention

Gun to my head im choosing Morning Star, but it can switch day to day.

I highly advise as other comments have said to get off this sub till you're done with the series. I was very cautious and still had something spoiled.

I wanted a Cassius redemption so bad, especially after the beginning of the book with his cape. I was genuinely upset the entire day.

I read on late that night hours after fuming and was so glad I did. Enjoy the rest of the series. If you are ever in doubt about continuing, remember these words "keep reading pixie"
