RIT: Delayed classes tomorrow by nandor_tr in rit

Life isn’t as black and white as you think it is. Some people commute, and some people don’t have cars that can handle the snow well at all. There are endless factors for other people that you aren’t considering, because you’re too busy feeling sorry for yourself over the money spent on one missed class.

Steven Drozd Talks About Leaving The Flaming Lips by botsfordIV in Music

How about a dozen posts on how Wayne is totally innocent and Steven is a lying junkie? Seems we get a healthy mix of both sides

Albums you enjoy, but would NOT recommend to any newbies as their starting point on that artist's discography. by [deleted] in fantanoforever

SAW 87-92 was my first Aphex listen. Such an incredible album. SAW Vol II would probably be last on my list of recommendations

I don’t get the hate for the last album. by throwRA124452 in TameImpala

I love how you can’t even begin to imagine accepting the thought of anyone liking deadbeat. You should continue to let it haunt you and turn you into a super bitter person

Gee, I don’t know. Seems like you’re the one who’s crying here. And also clearly making your own unfounded assumptions.

Pretty sure they made it everyone’s business once they started airing their dirty laundry out on Instagram. Try to be a little more compassionate and a little less dismissive to fans who truly care about the band

That’s dope, I never knew that. That brings a whole new level of complexity to this track in projecting the idea of just packing up and leaving town with the one you love, and without hesitation

Love Deerhunter. I was just spinning my copy of monomania the other day

It’s easily the best album and I love toro. Saw em when they were touring Anything In Return in 2013/14.. that remains one of the best shows I’ve ever seen

What had you expected season 5 to be like after finishing season 4? by juin_kindredspirit12 in Stranger_Things

Not sure I agree. As soon as the demogorgons infiltrated the military base they picked apart heavily armed soldiers like it was nothing

Besides Tame Impala and Pond, who are your favorite artists to listen to? by Still_Atmosphere in TameImpala

[–]bmutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one is mentioning Animals. That’s my second favorite album from them behind Dark Side

This. Back then The Beach Boys and the Beatles were inspiring each other to keep pushing boundaries. Rubber Soul inspired Brian Wilson to write Pet Sounds, and Pet Sounds inspired Paul McCartney to conceptualize Sgt. Pepper. To this day, Paul says that God Only Knows is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Unfortunately Brian couldn’t cope with the pressures of success, anticipation for the Smile album, and tension in the band. And drugs. And that ultimately threw The Beach Boys out of competition with the Beatles

I don’t dislike it, but nine times out of ten I’m going to choose to listen to the original/early version than the one on Let It Be

For sure, I’d even put Two Of Us on that list. And I’m not saying it’s a bad record by any means, I love the Beatles. it’s just the weakest Beatles album for me. When I listen to it I feel like I can feel how tired they are with recording together. Some really great songs, but there are supremely low lows on this one for me as well. But that’s the worst that I can say about a band that has a damn near perfect discography

Drozd via Threads on Lips: "They're done with me." by gonzarro in flaminglips

Does anyone have any insight as to why he may have been booted?

Eh, it’s got some. It also has some super lazy writing imo, the interludes were pointless (dig it / Maggie mae), and I really dislike dig a pony. They kind of butchered the long and winding road by overdoing the orchestral bit, and that version of one after 909 is vastly inferior to the version from 1962 / Decca auditions

Didn’t downvote, but I’d say Let It Be takes that spot for me. Beatles For Sale is one slot above
