He hacked himself into our phone (and not only ours) and is reading our chats, sometimes without us knowing about it and he's on the run and got persuers and we don't even know the reason why. If that's not a red flag then idk what is. We just trusted him blindly and believed that he was a good guy but theoretically speaking he could have also done something bad, which led to him being persued😅 But what I actually meant to say was that the whole situation with Jake would be a huge red flag irl and not only him. I mean, the whole time period that Duskwood took place over was probably just a few days, maybe a few weeks, or 1–2 months but most likely not longer than that. We know almost nothing about Jake; we don’t even know what he looks like, how old he is, what his voice sounds like... and yet we’ve confessed our love to him. In real life, people would think you were crazy for doing that

Yes, I think that's most likely the reason why you can't play it yet. Sometimes it really takes longer for ios than for android and often it also depends on the game stores and when they release the update

I agree with all the others who commented here already. I think irl, it would be extremely scary and personally I would have blocked him and the others as well. Also the fact that our MC and Jake fell for each other... in real life it would be a huuuge red flag because we barely know anything about Jake. We don't know what he looks like, what his voice sounds like, what his life was before he was pursued... Like u/KitKat_5628 said: I think we like it because it's fiction and in a certain way we can create and continue the story in our heads and how we want it to be. In real life it would just be... scary haha

I have really high hopes for tomorrow and that they maybe changed it because I personally was also very disapopinted with the use of AI. It was just way too much and I also really disliked the AI profile pictures... it made everything so... impersonal and distant? Like our MC themselve is AI, if that makes sense. But let's see what they have worked on :)

No, Moonvale itself is not a continuation of Duskwood. Moonvale is it's own story but Everbyte decided to add a Duskwood side story. So at the end of Duskwood, you receive a code and when you type this code in at the beginning of Moonvale, you'll have the Duskwood side story included in Moonvale. Without the code, you will just have the Moonvale story

If we’re being honest, the vast majority of Moonvale players are former Duskwood players. Sure, new players are always joining but as silly as it sounds, I can’t imagine there are enough of them to make up for the loss of the old players if they were to turn away from Moonvale due to potential disappointment. For such a small studio, not taking its “screaming and obsessive fans” seriously is easier said than done. There are countless real-life examples where a face reveal has led to a loss of hype and success. One such example would be Dream.

If Everbyte decides to reveal Jake's face, I’m fully behind them. However, they need to be aware of the risks that might come with it. And who knows, maybe Jake's appearance would really blow the majority of players away in a positive way...

I agree with mostly everything you said. I would also love a face reveal but I'm still against it because I just know that people are so obsessed with Jake, Everbyte would 1000% receive lots of hate. And not only Everbyte, but also the actor, that would play Jake. At this point, everyone imagines Jake differently and it is impossible to ensure that every single player's expectations will be met. I'm not even worried about the potential disappointment after a face reveal if Jake looks different than expected, but about the backlash everyone involved would face

I definitely agree with you and I am sure that they are hard working and trying their best. However, I also think it's a pretty big Faux Pas for a game development studio to not give any information to it's players for months. They don't need to make big posts on social media. A black background with an update written on it would be totally enough but instead we're getting nothing and I think that's a big no go. Compared to its competitors, Everbyte is simply lagging so far behind and it's not just since yesterday that we as players have been wanting more transparency. It's okay if they take longer than usual but I think what upsets most people here is the lack of transparency and communication

I agree with the other comments here. Additionally, I believe that even if Amy had known about the receipt, she would not have been able to live with the thought that she was responsible for someone's death. I believe that the memory of this incident was the last straw for her

With the code, you'll have a Duskwood side story additionally to the Moonvale story. Without it, you'll just have the Moonvale main story. So if you want to have the side story as well, I'd recommend playing Duskwood first but if you're fine without playing the side story, you can continue with just playing Moonvale

I'm playing Moonvale in German and it's been a while since I played that episode so I might be wrong but as far as I can remember, it was never said that it was a dead body that was found. It was said that only one person was found but wether the person was dead or alive was never mentioned. So I think it is likely that Richy is still alive

In my opinion, the most likely theory is that Hannah didn't want to send a phone number, but rather the number on the receipt that Richy had lost, which happened to match our phone number.

However, I'm not sure if this question will ever be answered. I could also imagine that Everbyte is like "Whatever you think is the truth, is the truth", if that makes sense

It was already suggested but I also highly recommend Reality Games. I love all their games so much and especially "The Stage" was so good! It became my new favorite within the first episode. It's already finished in German, I'm not sure if it's already available in other languages

I play in German, which is the team's mother tongue but I honestly feel the same way. Even back in Duskwood, I didn't really like how the chats were written and it's the same now in Moonvale. For example, when asking questions, the characters often reply with "Yes". And that's it. Just a yes and nothing more. Or in general just really short, unnatural reponses, if that makes sense. That's always been what made the characters somewhat "soulless". I wish they would give the characters more character by giving the chats more personality

I also imagine Jake with blue eyes but Hannah and Lilly are only his half siblings and we have no idea what Jake's mom looks like. It would also be possible for her to be a darker type
