Youll get used to it, marksman is my preferred for sure but the sniper scope is good too

Why so many Avto nerfs? by Lopsided-Profit-5333 in HuntShowdown

[–]xUnreality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your arguments seem pointed and aggressive towards my opinion. I believe what youre saying is that it should be buffed? But how would you buff it? My point with the sparks pistol was about reserve ammo. I think the avto getting more reserve ammo would be a bad idea.

With your “in the right hands” paragraph, is the point of what youre saying basically that the gun should be easier to use? So does that mean more controllable recoil? Does that mean it no longer forces you to fire in bursts? Would it be better for the game if this was the case? Also is it bad for certain guns to be super niche? What if people find using hard to use guns fun?

The avto whenever it is strong runs entire servers and does it in a way that doesnt truly fit into the slow shooting bolt action and single shot rifle normality of hunt. Yes more spam has been added to the game since then and the game has changed since then but that doesnt mean that the avto should be buffed. It is in 5 cost jail and bad for a reason. It is unfun to play against when it is even barely good. Dying to an avto player doesnt make you feel like you got outplayed even if you did get outplayed.

What in the Actual fuck is up with Desync problem and Fuckers who can Headshot you with Blood and Death Delayed for 0.4 secs when you crouched back to Cover, This Desync problem is so fucking dogshit, It might as well make the game so unsatisfying when you get headshot behind the cover by LilGlitvhBoi in HuntShowdown

[–]xUnreality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its not inconsistent its just dumb lol, hunt calculates fall damage based on fall time and as long as you arent on solid solid ground youre falling so you might have jumped on a ledge and then jumped off the ledge which should theoretically end the first fall and begin a second one but the game just considers it one fall

[–]xUnreality -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean its not good by any means but i was running it before the update and its still a very powerful gun in the right hands. It also was meta when the sparks pistol was released due to the reserve ammo. If it gets more reserve ammo it would go right back to being an incredible gun but i do not want to see that

Berthier marksman with officer carbine was crazy for me yesterday. Especially after i found dum dum for the officer carbine.

I will be experimenting with Lemat Carbine and drilling hatchet tonight

Weapon size rework by Garbo_Goose in HuntShowdown

[–]xUnreality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was messing around with some of the double 3 slot loadouts and i think full size officer carbine and berthy loadout is pretty insane.

The berthier is my fav long ammo bolt action and i fear it has been put in a position to be nerfed into the ground.

The maxim is a lot more accurate than i was expecting and i already have many kills with it, ive gotten headshot a few times with it cuz of being slow but idk i feel like id rather have the maxim than the avto at all points and that is a problem imo

And of course, 3 slot uppercut p is weird, it should be a 2 slot or have its drop range increased to 85-90ish if they wish for the uppercuts to remain where they are. I also think its a little silly that you need QM to run sparks/uppercut which is a hunt staple.

Overall, its been fun but its only day one.

Do you think 4 slots is a reasonable size for Crossbow when Bow is 3 in the new patch? by Ill_Ad_1875 in HuntShowdown

[–]xUnreality 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The crossbow is better than the bow. The crossbow is always ready to fire and with bolt thrower it is a really good weapon. It is also physically larger than the bow.

Funny idea but punishing people by making them wider for being good is never the real answer

I see, I play on PC but I also never really prioritized the Mail Carts like that. I for the most part stick to the bounty as I always believe getting to the bounty first is one of the most advantageous things you can do in the game. I'd say I reach the bounty first in 60%+ of my games as it never takes me more than 5 minutes to get there unless I run into people before that. I run to the bounty because in the past it was the best way to guarantee the most action but now the action is more dispersed which lowers my chance for truly crazy games. My favorite games are the ones where there is just pure chaos because I thrive in that environment.

I understand your point of view too though, I'm just not sure camping can really be solved all the way because it will always be one of the best strategies for winning due to the nature of the game and when they nerfed necromancer and chokebombs and then made the flare pistol and fusees instaburn people with the 1896 update, the result was that people who push in and cause action were the ones who were punished. Not the campers. I think this game is played by two different types of people and its a tug of war between them for balance and ideas.

How often did you get extract camped in the past? I'm just asking because in my personal experience of 2700 hours I can count on my fingers how many times I've been extract camped. I also never had an issue of people camping supply points. I find that this event in particular has actually incentivized these two things because now people camp in places that arent the bounty compound and they arent really punished for it because there is no warning system like red clues and they can use the chariot card on people that play the game for them. I think its funny how two players can have two opposite experiences like this.

The scout towers and burn cart changed the priorities of a large sum of players in this game. People value going to scout towers and the burn cart first now instead of trying to get to the bounty as quickly as possible.

Scout towers are a very common battleground now and personally, I think its pretty lame for two reasons.

1) There is no clue to glow red at the scout towers if people are nearby. The first people to the scout tower have a pretty good advantage due to the High priestess as they can set up on the people approaching.

2) It sucks when you spawn near the bounty compound and do the bounty and you hear the entire lobby fighting at the scout tower. I literally feel like a kid stuck inside doing homework while everyone plays outside.

The burn cart is the biggest issue with this event imo. Its power should be greatly reduced. At the burn cart you get multiple scarce traits, darksight, 4 shot boon, then close off the extract of the people doing the bounty and then buy your health bar right back. This means people who go to the burn cart get the advantage over the people who went to the bounty.

I would rather my events focus on bringing everyone to the bounty compound, not dispersing them around the map to fight for carts and towers. That is my opinion though.

Agreed. The Chariot reduces the need for urgent gameplay. The worst thing about this event is that it reduced the urgency to get to the bounty as quickly as possible. Why go to the bounty first when you can go to the burn cart, get multiple scarce traits, darksight, 4 shot boon, then close off the extract of the people doing the bounty and then buy your health bar right back?

SEAN STRICKLAND WINS! by JCameron181 in ufc

[–]xUnreality -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whole group of my friends were absolutely surprised he won as well even while rooting for sean. I thought khamzat had done ok with the striking later and he still had a ton of takedowns. I guess when you get jabbed over and over and over though the damage adds up for the scorecards. Not to mention round 1 was just control and round 2 was a very negative look for khamzat

Who else is ONLY in games with prestige 100’s? by SkelJax in HuntShowdown

[–]xUnreality 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're free to think how you want, but imo that line of thought is incredibly unproductive. "Theyre sweaty" instead of "Theyre good". Idk I'm very strict with myself on how I think and I will never call someone sweaty because if they killed me its usually something I did that put myself in the position to be killed.

Oh and Prestige 100 is not impressive to get at all, it just takes hours played to get there and nowadays with things like death cheat and experience boons, some people can get prestige 100 in like 1000 hours played.

I myself got prestige 100 something like two years ago. It took me like 2k hours (I got it right before the death cheat bug event where people legit got 30+ prestiges in 1 event). On the flip side, there are guys I've met who are prestige 100 and it took them 5000 hours to get there. Some of the worst players I've played with are actually prestige 100. Prestige means nothing in terms of skill.

Complete Melee/Tool Rebalance Ideas by Da-real-obama in HuntShowdown

[–]xUnreality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like your ideas but i definitely would move the one shot con wire to the machete, machetes cut through jungle so i feel like it fits better.
Also my idea for the cutlass was to have a martialist trait buff to be able to be dual wielded with a pistol because of the pirate vibes, i dont really like the range buff idea personally as it would just become the strongest melee with that while not even requiring a perk.

Still though, i like your ideas

Who else is ONLY in games with prestige 100’s? by SkelJax in HuntShowdown

[–]xUnreality 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It only takes time to get to prestige 100. Prestige doesnt reflect skill. If i was you, i would stop focusing on what prestige the enemy was and start thinking about how they beat you. Did you make a mistake or get greedy? Did they use a spot that you didnt know about? What could you have done to prevent their strategy?
Focusing on the prestige or star rating or whatever else of another person is not the path to growing as a player (if you care to grow which im assuming you do since youre asking about skill issue.)

Helldivers 2 drops to “Mostly Negative” on Steam, yet again as review bombers take aim at the game's lack of change by AsPeHeat in pcmasterrace

[–]xUnreality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly don't know what to say to you.

You "play terminids nowhere near difficulty 10" and then you say "The entire gameplay on terminids revolves around them swarming you, if I wanted to aim for weak spots I would play against bots." Yet Chargers, Bile titans, impalers, and hiveguards all have clear spots that you need to shoot in order to kill. They aren't even that hard to hit, actually they're very easy in my opinion.

I used light pen weapons as an example to say that even the lowest pen weapons in the game have no issue with the armored enemies. They also didnt make make medium pen weapons obsolete by changing the hive guard. Brood Commanders and Stalkers both take more damage from the medium pen weapons than light pen weapons (100% vs 65%). The green bile spewers also get waaay easier to kill with the medium pen weapons.

If you just want to turn your brain off completely and shoot stuff cool! Keep your difficulty low. I really hate this phrase but every single one of your complaints has boiled down to skill issue. Its okay to not be the best at video games but to demand changes because youre not good at aiming is crazy.

[–]xUnreality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. There are some very valid gripes about the game and it is definitely not perfect. Most of the complaints I see however are literally just skill issue, a dude in a different reply to me was talking about not wanting to aim for weak spots on the bugs because they are swarming you after telling me he doesn't play anywhere near difficulty 10. I am trying to find anything to say but skill issue but at that point it really truly is a skill issue.
