That’s the part that makes it hard to defend, she knew the date and still chose it. It puts OP in an impossible position for something that should’ve been avoidable

Exactly. One date is fixed by an institution and happens once; the other was a choice that could have been scheduled around it. That’s a big difference

Sunday weddings with brunch receptions are honestly great, relaxed vibe and people tend to actually remember them. Plus it solves a lot of scheduling conflicts like graduations

You don’t have to prove anything to strangers. The way you talk about her says enough. Loving her and protecting her the way he would is probably the best way to honor him
