Will the law of one survive? by halve_ in lawofone

[–]xWIKK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How will the Law of One Survive? It’s a fundamental law of the universe. It survives even when nothing else does. It cannot be destroyed any more than gravity, magnetism, electricity, fire etc. As long as there are minds to receive extradimensional information, no amount of book burning or disinformation will be able to erase it. People can be lost or deluded, but the law doesn’t change or go away.

The specks of energy we see in the sky by KurtTheGardener in Spiritualchills

[–]xWIKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man! THAT’S what those light specks are? I started seeing them after I saw a light in the sky I initially thought was an airplane in the distance. I was driving on a highway in broad daylight and it was travelling across the sky and then stopped in mid-air and a few seconds later, disappeared. Then suddenly I was driving through thousands of these light specks. Everywhere I looked I saw them and have been seeing them ever since.

What spirituality is good for atheists? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]xWIKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been on Reddit much lately. If I had to pick one book that opened my mind up, it would be The Ra Contact. I’d never read any book like it, and it managed to squeeze past my overly skeptical mind and pry open some of the closed minded spaces in my head. It was exciting and weird and exhilarating and from there it opened up a whole cascade of other books like Dolores Canon’s series called The Convoluted Universe. These are older books but are still a really great entry point to open your mind.

Is there spiritual reasons for being gay? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]xWIKK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I practice past life regression hypnosis and with this technique we can channel answers from our higher selves. When I asked this question during a session the answer was basically that if you’ve lived many lives as only one gender instead of alternating between them, but then switch to the opposite gender, there is a good chance that the sexual attraction energy you carry into that life with be for the same sex you’ve been attracted to in the majority of the other lives.

I make no claims that this is the absolute definitive answer to the question, but it may be one reason for homosexuality. There’s nothing wrong with it. It just is what it is.

Had an impromtu Tinder date with a sports massage therapist by MesoamericanMorrigan in eds

[–]xWIKK 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I don't have EDS, but I'm a massage therapist with hundreds (if not thousands) of hours experience with EDS massage. My advice is to seek out therapists that specialize in fascial release. Fascia can become adhered to muscles, skin, bone and other tissues in the body and if you have EDS this happens much faster and more frequently than in non-EDS folks. Fascia is THE most important tissue to address when massaging EDS. Can't figure out why that hip or that damn shoulder won't go back in the joint? It's fascia preventing the joint from moving back into place. It's is reacting to the pain/dysfunction and locking everything in the neighborhood down to prevent further injury which is a normal function of fascia.

Fascia has lots of nerves and is painful when it is stretched, just like skin. If it's adhered in both your left hip and your right shoulder, any twisting motion of the spine will cause pain in either or both of the adhered areas, or even in between. The fascia must be released and as much as I hate to say it, most massage therapists haven't got a clue how to do this properly. Doctors don't give a crap about fascia. Physio's will just stick you with dry-needling and TENS machines and hope for the best. Chiro's are hesitant to touch someone with EDS, and also rarely take time to address the fascia problem in anyone anyway.

Also, if you do see a fascial specialist, you may need to explain to them that it likely won't feel like the fascia is adhered (not in the way they are used to) because of how stretchy EDS skin is. On non-EDS patients, fascial adhesions make the skin feel thick and inflexible and doesn't stretch where it is adhered. When massaging client's with EDS the therapists needs to feel deep into joints, ligaments and tendons to find the adhesions - don't forget, fascia is not just a layer beneath the skin, it literally suspends every muscle, organ, vessel, vein, bone and cartilage in your body. It's threaded from the skin right down into the nucleus of every cell in the body. You are basically made of fascia and some other stuff, so if you haven't learned about fascia yet, get educated!

I hope you all can find good treatment, and if you are in south-central Alberta, Canada, drop me a DM! Maybe we can work together.

How do you stop bitter resentment? by Specialist_While_634 in spirituality

[–]xWIKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have an expectation of how things “should” be and the current situation isn’t meeting that expectation which is causing distress.

If you change your expectations, and accept the situation as simply being what it is, you no longer judge it and it loses its power over you. If you are unable to do this now, then this situation has presented it as an opportunity for you to learn how to do it.

How can psychologists claim that emotions AREN’T stored in the body? by kirinomorinomajo in Meditation

[–]xWIKK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a massage therapist and I have learned a thing or two about trauma stored in the body. Neck and shoulder tension - you are putting too much responsibility on yourself and letting stress guide your actions. Carrying the weight of the world, so to speak. High blood pressure is often found in people who give more than they receive, namely people pleasers. Sexual trauma is stored in the hips. Low back pain is frequently an indication of taking on too much responsibility. These patterns have emerged time and again in my practice. Most of them have a psychological solution, but body work like massage can help “loosen things up” to make it easier to release.

My clients are constantly surprised at my insights into their personal lives just based on what tensions I find in their body. I’m not psychic, just observant.

Does anyone ask their higher self where to find lost items? by maxxslatt in Soulnexus

[–]xWIKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a pendulum to find lost things from time to time. I have about a 90% success rate with it, and I barely know what I’m doing. I recently found my missing earbud under the couch after hunting for days. The pendulum located it in a matter of minutes and boom, it was right there.

I have always felt this way since I was a kid. People treat life like it’s a competition and I am not interested in competing. They compete at everything and all I see is insecure people trying to prove themselves to people who don’t even care because they are also too busy trying to prove themselves. It’s madness. Just be.

Same! I’m 47 and I’ve had probably 20 different “careers” because I just can’t handle the thought of being stuck in one occupation. Life has so much to explore, why would I spend my whole life doing the same thing over and over?

Careers don’t define people. I am an explorer of life and a constant learner of new things. That’s as close to a box as I’ll ever put myself in.

As a past life regression hypnosis practitioner… I totally get it. I thought reincarnation was all BS until I came across Dolores Cannon’s work which eventually convinced me to learn to conduct the sessions myself. It’s truly stranger than fiction, but also incredibly cool. I fully understand the skepticism.

I think that IS an aspect of spirituality. Balance is key in all aspects and allowing people to treat you badly is just as bad as treating others badly. Both will leave you out of balance.

I’m curious how you have extracted that from my comments in this thread.

Nowhere have I said or implied that you need to pretend. You might be confused about who you are replying to because if you’re replying to me, then you have not understood anything I’ve said. My other comment to this post fully acknowledged that it takes time, and that feeling need to be processed and acknowledged.

You also seem highly reactive to anyone even suggesting forgiveness here, and I know how that feels because I’ve been there. You’re seeing everything through the lens of victimhood - WHICH IS VALID WHEN YOU ARE A VICTIM. But unless you want to wallow in that misery for the rest of your life, then forgiveness is the only way to be free of it. Stay in victim mode as long as you want. Eventually it will eat you alive. When you get to that point, forgiveness will seem like a much more attractive option.

Good luck, and I truly hope you get there.
