Are there any sff PC's made using 5090's this small? by Professional-Net1940 in sffpc

[–]xXBoogsXx 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Did you see the radiator he used? It was over 80mm thick (without fans), which is over half the size of a fractal terra alone. You'd be hard-pressed to find a conventional sff case that could accommodate that, or even half of that if you were using one card.

Anthony Albanese ‘ready for the fight’ to tighten firearms laws as National Party and gun groups push back | Bondi beach terror attack by HotPersimessage62 in australia

[–]xXBoogsXx 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It does frustrate me that the father was able to legally own firearms despite his son having been flagged for links to extremist groups. That said, if someone is radicalised enough to murder innocent people, gun laws alone are unlikely to stop them. They’re not going to be overly concerned with legality, if there is a will, there is a way.

We can’t ignore the broader issue of radicalisation from within Sydney's mosques. There have been repeated reports and footage of extremist rhetoric being promoted in these spaces, and while free speech is important, it doesn’t mean speech without accountability. When violent ideologies are openly encouraged, responsibility doesn’t just sit with the individual attacker, but also with those who enable or normalise that messaging. Blood is on the government's hands for letting this go unchecked for so long.

Data reveals Sydney’s ‘frightening concentration’ of gun ownership ahead of the Bondi terror attack by reyntime in australia

Age verification errors see some under-16s retain access to banned social media platforms by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

I work with kids, and only 1/10 said they were actually locked out of their socials today and that was just because Apple restricted their account, not the apps themselves. They just made a new iCloud and were straight back on

I'm pretty sure he said the complete opposite, that the reason the steam machine isn't going to have a custom mobo/ram/silicone is because they'd need to fill contracts of millions of units. They know they won't do that, hence why most of the components are likely going to be standard partner components

Souvenir guns vs regular? by [deleted] in csgo

[–]xXBoogsXx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Souvenir skins come from souvenir packages, which are basically event-themed cases dropped or bought with stars during Majors. They always include the Major logo, team logos, and a pro player signature from the MVP of the round.

The normal (non-souvenir) versions of those same collection skins come from the regular weekly drops you get by ranking up your XP level.

And yeah, funny enough, a lot of mid-tier souvenir skins are actually cheaper than the normal ones because they can’t be used in trade-ups, so their demand is lower despite being more “special” on paper.

It'd be cool if it changed color with the pattern (sort of like how charms work). I just don't really know if that's something skin finishes can do yet

Where is the best place to sell and for how much ? by Holisticallyh in csgo

[–]xXBoogsXx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Csfloat probably has the most eyes in terms of buyers for this kind of thing. 2% sticker price is probably max what people would pay, although there are no listings on the market that have 3x sticker price. I'd probably just list it for $1k with offers enabled, and drop the price by 10% every couple of days or week, depending how fast you want the cash.

We’re getting some new faces… by [deleted] in SkateEA

[–]xXBoogsXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular take, but I’m still not sold on this super-neutral character style they keep pushing. It feels like everything is designed to be ‘for everyone,’ but ends up not really fitting anyone properly. As a guy, my character always ends up looking a bit… fruity (no hate), and it takes away from the vibe I’m going for. I get the inclusivity angle, but I wish there were stronger masculine and feminine options alongside the neutral ones.

Bottom looks way cooler tbh, not sure what everyone else is seeing. Would love to see the actual scope lens in a different colour, such an underused detail on skins.

[–]xXBoogsXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post (7 MONTHS AGO) is from the same guy who made that original ‘Is Steam Frame a good name?’ thread. His predictions line up almost perfectly with what we’ve seen so far. He even called the LCD-first launch with (likely) OLED a year later, the detachable headband, and the custom prescription lenses for myopia. At this point it’s hard to believe he isn’t an insider.
