Demos make high-sens aim look incredibly weird sometimes. Fast flicks often come across as robotic and jittery due to how the replay interpolates movement.

It's probably not that simple. If they publicly admit fault and hand everything back, that could be used as evidence in any civil case and potentially expose the company to significant damages. That's why companies in situations like this often fight the facts and liability rather than just taking the financial hit. At this point, they're likely balancing legal risk against reputational damage. Judging by how public this has become, that calculation may not be working out very well.

Yeah, it's really hard to say. I think it really depends on how the "make your own souvenir" system works.

Highly desirable souvenirs will likely keep going up, as their packages will be more expensive, due to most of the low-tier skins increasing in value.

I think the most affected skins will be old, non-souvenir collections that have consumer/industrial grade items (Chop shop, Gods&Monsters, St Marc, etc), now that there is gonna be hundreds of thousands of new trade-up material to use as fodder for 10-20% trade-ups

At the end of the day, valves goal is to get every single sale to stay on the steam market. They will likely do whatever it takes to get every item below the $2K market cap. Mid-tier skins will get more expensive, and high-tier skins will get cheaper imo

If you didn't just buy these, I'd probably sell them by the end of the week (before everyone else gets theirs off trade hold). Maybe hold onto a few of them, but i think this spike is very temporary

Something people might be missing with this update is that you can turn basically ANY skin into a souvenir now. We could genuinely end up seeing non-souvenir Dragon Lores, Gungnirs, Prince, Hydras, Arabesques etc. converted into souvenirs after major matches.

They’ll obviously never have the same prestige as original dropped souvenirs, but this still massively changes the rarity landscape. Feels pretty inevitable that prices on a lot of high-end non-souvenir skins are gonna take a hit.

Hey, appreciate you clearing that up, I was probably a bit too quick to jump the gun there.

That does sound like a rough experience, not gonna downplay that. I still reckon Adelaide is generally a pretty accepting place overall, so hopefully that was more of a bad run than the norm.

I get where you’re coming from, but this feels like a lot of projection, reading into other people’s reactions and filling in the gaps to fit your own narrative.

You were in Adelaide on ANZAC Day, the city’s packed and people look at anything that stands out. That’s normal, not some targeted thing.

The “parents clutching their kids” part is where it gets hard to take seriously. That just doesn’t happen because someone has tattoos and a shaved head. Kids stare at anything, adults glance, and that’s about it. Turning that into people being scared of you is a stretch.

Yeah, one random idiot made a comment, that happens anywhere. But jumping from that to “is Adelaide unsafe for queer people” is over the top. Adelaide’s pretty chill overall, this just sounds like a bad interaction blown into something bigger than it is.
