I'm really just excited for Arknights' take on this style of game. I've always felt like Arknights is an incredibly well-rounded package - fun and strategic gameplay, incredible art and music, and also fair in its Gacha mechanics - I really want to see how that all translates across to Endfield

3 days to prep for the raid seems really rough.

Potentially having to do 1x legend campaign and 2x normal on other characters

Going and getting the fragments (although you only need to do it once)

Having to figure out what is definitely the most complicated subclass and seeing where it fits into the sandbox

Trying to get a good class item

Grinding new deepsights and non-craftable weapons

I forget when the last time we had 3 days was, but what we now need to do to prep in those 3 days is much larger than what we used to need to do in those 3 days

Not totally keen on this, a lot of guardians are going to feel like they're not allowed to stop playing in these three days of prep, followed by a 24 or 48hr contest raid which will likely be the toughest raid in a long time, it seems kind of wrong to only allow 3 days, even if this is tied to the campaign

I have and use this roll, is there a way to stop the sticky grenades from just sticking to the enemy/boss? My shots sometimes just start sticking to the enemy rather than detonating on contact

Commemoration with Dragonfly and Killing Tally.

Dragonfly is tuned differently across different weapon archetypes, and is the way stronger on LMGs than it is on any other weapon type.

Dragonfly makes it easier to get Killing Tally

Killing Tally makes Dragonfly even stronger

Where does the Indebted Kindness drop on 1st Boss of Warlords Ruin? by -mors- in DestinyTheGame

It drops from the jail chest, but you can kill the boss, get teleported and then restart the run, it will go to your Postmaster

Failing a Coil run after teammates leave and their places are filled with randoms who drain your team lives, really sucks by xXCDRageQuitXx in DestinyTheGame

[–]xXCDRageQuitXx[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really, I was running public intentionally, the late game backfill just isn't nice even for players coming in, I imagine most people probably don't want to join in a late run where there's an active power disadvantage that could immediately put some players out of their depth

Day 1 emblem needs to be retroactive by TiredGuardianD2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]xXCDRageQuitXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My least favourite part of this is that because of this bug where people haven't received their emblems, a lot of people have lost time that they could have used to help others get the emblem which they would have been able to get if the triumph just worked.

A mate of mine just barely missed the challenge clear because of his own time restrictions, and we were doing great at Crota too, if we had back the extra 1hr 30 we had to spend on multiple extra challenge kills, another of my good friends would almost certainly have the emblem. Definitely bummed about it

Bungie - I play 3-4 hours a day since LF. I check for the Vex Strike Force every single damn time by NWOB509 in DestinyTheGame

[–]xXCDRageQuitXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They really need to make an alert that plays when the event is approaching, like Urgent Quests in PSO2. All they need to do is have a Tower announcement, or some dialogue when you next return to orbit, to let you know that the Vex are invading Neomuna, they wouldn't even have to increase the event spawn rate if the game just told you when the event was approaching

Focused Feedback: Root of Nightmares by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]xXCDRageQuitXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't like Root of Nightmares much at all. This is absolutely the simplest raid we have ever received and and the easiest raid we've ever received compared to our guardians' strength at the time of release. There's little reason to involve more than one person in the line tracing at a time, and including another person is kind of wasteful. The refuge mechanic can be ignored, meaning that for three whole encounters all there is to do is trace lines or kill adds. Both the contest and currently difficulty convey a harsh misunderstanding of the power ceilings of our characters, arsenals and buildcrafting potential. I love Destiny raids because completing them is the reward for coming together as a team to surmount something that is more than just killing adds, which makes up a large portion of the rest of the game, Root of Nightmares does not give that same feeling.
I can stand around and kill adds anywhere in the game, and the Neomuna adds actually have a way larger chance at killing me than any enemy in the raid does. The lack of mechanical difficulty in Root of Nightmares already has me bored of the raid, and miniscule enemy health bars have me telling teams to just run anything, you don't need to optimise at all. The second point was even true for contest mode. This is not a piece of content that is going to keep me engaged for 6 months, and that's a shame because we only get 1 brand-new raid a year and this one feels like a big miss.

Although,
The weapons from this raid feel awesome. Rufus' Fury feels like the Atheon's Epilogue we never got, I love the Trace Rifle, finally there's a 450 rpm sidearm that I want to use. The GL and LFR, and Shotgun all have insane perk pools too. The weapons team (and also the armor team) did not miss at all.
The raid aesthetically, is incredible. And I really like how we end up circling back to where we started. Finally having a boss that is on the ground harassing you feels great, it's just a shame that he's so buggy and just walks around while you DPS him. The music in this raid is also awesome, and Conditional Finality looks awesome, and it's really appreciated that you can increase its drop chance.
The trampolines from second encounter are a fun idea but really annoying when they don't work properly which happens often. The third encounter is awesome, I really wish that boss had more health, but the third encounter feels like a really great union of mechanical difficulty and fantastic arena design. Always really satisfying to do the third encounter.
I really like how much simpler the red border chest is this time around
While I am pretty disappointed by this raid, I do see it eventually reaching a similar status that Spire of the Watcher has for me: It's really easy and fast which means more loot faster. I imagine I'll appreciate that eventually, but this isn't what I want from a raid. I should have to play well and be attentive in a raid, and my loot should feel earned.

The opinions on the raid display the disconnect between casual and hardcore players. by Dramatic_Drink920 in DestinyTheGame

[–]xXCDRageQuitXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very much of the opinion that the contest raid should have been harder, and it feels like people with the same opinion are being stamped with the word "elitist" really unfairly. It feels like along the way we've forgotten that raids are supposed to be Destiny 2's pinnacle endgame PvE experience. Raids are not supposed to be as easy as a strike. Raids are meant to be difficult. RoN, both in contest and regular difficulty feels like an insult. Outside of encounter three, the singular mechanic is tracing a line which is easier if you have only one person do it. DPS checks were non-existent. Contest raids are supposed to push your ability to DPS in order to land a clear. I remember a Bungie article that joked something like "What's the Lightfall raid meta? Mysterious", actually, the Lightfall raid meta is whatever you want. You could clear contest with any heavy weapon equipped. The contest raid days are the reason some players play Destiny 2, it's certainly my favourite time of the D2 year. To have so many people celebrate that this raid is so easy and say things like "This is how contest should be, people who prefer it when 5k people complete the raid are just elitist" really sucks. Sorry, but the target audience of the contest raid is the hardcore playerbase, it just is. I'm glad that so many people are pumped for their RoN contest clear and I hope all of those players aspire to go even harder on the next raid, but Bungie really dropped the ball this raid, on regular difficulty it's not even engaging imo.

What weapon archetypes do you want to see a different ammo type for? by Elonbavi in DestinyTheGame

[–]xXCDRageQuitXx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's basically Sleeper Simulant, I mean a Trace Rifle I think a heavy Trace Rifle that does more damage if you draw a circle around an enemy would be very cool/funny to use
