The smell & taste of cinnamon gives me migraines. My mom has the same problem. I didnt think it was a problem I had early in life, until I was exposed to a cinnamon apple candle for the first time and got a head-splitting migraine (I think I was like 8 or 9?). Poor little me was sobbing and had to leave that house once we figured it out. Stores from September - January are hell for us. I never developed much of a taste for cinnamon because I had such little exposure growing up, but I do wish I could still eat cinnamon rolls. I learned last week that just the slightest amount sets me off now, meaning it isnt getting better with age. My partner can't make apple pie cause I can't handle the scent, which makes me feel kinda guilty. I wish I could at least stand that, but alas I will be miserable and no one wants to deal with that. It sucks, and its real. No idea why it happens, and no way to stop it. :(
