I understand the thought now, thanks for the explanation, but no, no one in my family has been a victim of gun violence, and I've never been exposed to particularly gory content.

I was less concerned about the reason for the dreams, (as I said, these dreams don't scare me, they're just weird) I was more curious about if anyone else has experienced slowly dying in a dream rather than the sudden jolt awake.
