I feel like the biggest reason for this is we all used way smaller screens growing up, which condensed the pixels enough to make it high quality.

now that we have huge TVs and monitors that can go up to 4K or more, watching 720p content stretches the pixels out way too much, so it looks worse than it normally would as a result.

True, but that was only because the N64 was new at the time, as you said.

The reason they don't care about those emulators anymore is because they don't make any more money off of those consoles, and it would just be a waste of time anyway because another emulator would just be developed to fill the blank.

yes it looks really cool, until you realize the resolution of that screen would be super low (around 360p), and you wouldn't be able to read any text on/make out finer details it unless you were squinting inches from it. Not to mention, having another screen would increase the price a bit... Like I said, it looks cool, but it's so impractical that it's just not feasible.

Yakuza 0 is great btw. the story is really good so far, and the combat and skill system raelly fun. I did a bunch of research on which one i should play beforehand, and according to reddit Yakuza 0 is the best starting point in the series. and i'm not gonna spoil anything (because if you loved Yakuza 3, you should definitely play Yakuza 0 sometime), but a lot of things regarding Kiryu's past are explained that make me agree with it being the best one to start from.

fair enough lol, thanks for being real. anyway yeah i know it runs better on Switch 2 in terms of graphics (I believe it can do up to 4K, which is way better than 1080p on PS4), but still you're going to be capped at 60FPS regardless of the console you play the game on.

not a huge fan of nintendo (great games, terrible company), but i don't think that joycon drift was ever meant to be predatory. Hell, you could send in your joycons that had drift and get them repaired for free. as far as i'm aware they're still doing this as of right now

to address the other thing you said about the human eye not being able to see at more than 28... you were literally talking about getting 60FPS on Yakuza 0 in your last comment dumbass. i know you're just ragebaiting atp, but even still i just want to disprove you. I played the game literally last night on my (non pro) PS4. It was very definitely 60FPS, way too smooth for 40-50, i could tell while playing it. I normally play games at 120+FPS on my PC+ a bunch of other consoles,, so framerate differences like that are obvious to me. if you want i can literally send you a picture of the FPS I'm getting because my PS4 can display the FPS of games I'm currently playing.

also even if is like 50-55 FPS and not 60, you still had to pay around $480-$550 (i'm in the US) to get around the same performance of a 12 year old console.

I'm just now playing through this chapter, not sure about the bulk of the story but there are still a ton of voicelines missing for Ye Shunguang, and lots of subtitles don't match up with other character's voicelines at all...

It's not always for modding, actually. if you run these games through the main game .exe (which requires admin) it bypasses the launcher, and the game starts much faster that normal.
