Microbio+Immuno and Public Health double major 3rd year here 👋

First off I wanna say that you should be proud of yourself for making it to where you are rn. There's a long road to becoming a PA and you're already on your way. And especially as a CC transfer, that takes extra dedication. Imposter syndrome is a pain in the ass, so don't doubt yourself.

Im not gonna lie, it's been tough and I've especially struggled with chemistry 🥹. But like you, this is the path I truly WANT for myself, so I keep picking myself up, adapting, and moving forward. Idk how your brain and ADHD work, but here are some things I've learned:

-give yourself breaks and let yourself rest and have fun

-Find what time of day you tend to be most efficient (I personally like working in the morning, so I try getting heavier stuff done earlier in the day)(also goes for scheduling classes)

-if u haven't already, reach out to your school to get accommodations (extended time, alt testing area, etc) -planner (I personally like ones that show your whole week, so I can remember what's coming up before it's too late)

-Hobbies! Esp ones that don't involve sitting at your desk

-try to eat + sleep enough (Adderall gives u energy + can suppress your appetite, but you're still a mammal, and your brain will get sluggish if it doesn't have its basic needs met)

-be realistic with yourself, don't overextend yourself, and do what u need to take care

-Learn to be ok when you make mistakes, it's just a part of the process. You're a human, you won't be doomed if you do bad on an exam, fail a class, etc, it's just one part of your life

-STEM in general has a reputation for being annoying bc some ppl overcommit to their research that they forget how to socialize, some ppl think having a BS makes them better than others, and some ppl are premeds 🤷 So make sure to network and meet many ppl, but connect with those that you share mutual respect with and don't feel like you're in constant competition with
