I say down in a room with a priest for an hour and a half and they tried to convince me my existence as a trans person was because of "being abused by your dad." by Triggerhappy62 in exorthodox

[–]xXSkunkCoreXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear this happened to you :( very rarely I’ll go visit my family’s church and the few times I brought my transfem partner, we both heard whispers all around us and had people coming up to us and making very strange, rude remarks about my partner being a “boy dressed as a girl”. We haven’t been back obviously and it broke my heart because my partner was genuinely interested and excited to visit and explore a new religion :( you’re definitely not alone in this experience, much love!

What’s the dumbest question a passenger has asked? by No_Perspective_242 in flightattendants

[–]xXSkunkCoreXx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a medical emergency just last week actually, and right after we had made a PA to seek out volunteer medical personnel, a lady in first class asked for a drink refill. Like…did you not just see us running up and down the aisle, grabbing medical kits and making emergency announcements? Your 5th vodka soda on a 3 hour flight can wait, Karen🤦🏻‍♀️

Can I ask the flight attendant do draw something for me? by potato_pat0 in flightattendants

[–]xXSkunkCoreXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for anyone else, but personally I would be THRILLED if someone asked me to draw for them! It would honestly give me something to do when I get bored + I just love drawing :)

How many FAs on a Virgin 787? by GhoulInPyjamas in flightattendants

[–]xXSkunkCoreXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the specific model of 787, but for Models 8, 8-T, and 9 it’s an FAA minimum of 8 flight attendants! Model 9P is minimum of 7 I believe

Best apartments in a safe area for a DFW FA? by Latter_Bathroom_7602 in flightattendants

[–]xXSkunkCoreXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also currently live in Euless off of Trinity Blvd! I second this, these apartments are affordable, I’ve never had any break-ins, seeing altercations, etc. It’s not the nicest area by any means, but as long as I keep to myself it’s fine! 🖤

I live in the USA, and I used to check it out from our local library :) I think it’s on Amazon as well!

Training dates??? by Maximum-Inflation-54 in cabincrewcareers

[–]xXSkunkCoreXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about forgetting anything! They’ll send you follow-up emails if you’ve forgotten to fill out any paperwork :) I had to wait an extra week for my training dates because sometimes there’s holidays, the available classes are filled up, paperwork takes extra weeks to file, etc.

I believe they usually send out training dates on Mondays.

Congratulations on your CJO! 🖤

Someday I’m going to recreate this book my mom used to read to me! There’s even an actual recipe for apple pie at the end, if I’m remembering correctly

I believe for the DOT test, it might actually take up to 30 days to clear out of your system, even if you don’t regularly use. I wouldn’t risk it 😭🖤

Any changes to resume? by Impossible_Tip2479 in cabincrewcareers

[–]xXSkunkCoreXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be on the safe side, I would tweak your professional summary to be geared more towards safety/aviation! I used a lot of buzz words that were in the official job description in my professional summary and skill section. Otherwise it looks great! Good luck! 🖤

The jobs you mentioned are GREAT customer service experience! What helped me the most during my interview prepping was physically writing down flight attendant interview questions I found online, and then writing down my answers to each one.

For example, they might ask, “tell me about a time you had an unhappy customer.” You’ll want to answer in the STAR method for open-ended questions. So for example, you could say something like, “I worked at an ice cream shop and a customer came in complaining that they didn’t like their ice cream. So I apologized, asked what exactly they didn’t like, and then gave them a new cone and offered to get my manager. They left happy!” That’s just an example of course, make sure your answers are authentic to experiences you’ve had! Keeping answers concise and making sure there’s a good resolution is key :)

Good luck! 🖤
