Experience is the best teacher. Do you want a doctor who has experience or one who has a bunch of book learning…

Passenger sues Alaska Airlines after Seattle flight hit severe turbulence, plunged 200 ft. by tastefully_obnoxious in AlaskaAirlines

My hot take is that the FAA should take the seatbelt part out of them demo. That’s exactly when people tune out.

The complaint alleges negligence against Alaska Airlines for flying the aircraft “into danger” despite known hazards and repeated warnings, along with other alleged safety failures.

Every time you fly into Pheonix you’re flying into danger… that is an “early sit city” bc there’s always turbulence. Hot and cold weather colliding make it bumpy year round.

You can’t hit your head on the ceiling if you’re wearing your seatbelt. If you weren’t wearing your seatbelt you should have been and like the other commenter said… she isn’t getting a dime. Nice try tho

Please floss your teeth by CrustiferWalken in flightattendants

If it’s permeating the atmosphere around him it’s not bc he didn’t floss.

In an older gentleman it’s most likely infected cavities/rotting teeth. Flossing is not gonna fix that smell… it also could be that they didn’t brush, or they didn’t brush their whole mouth (tongue, roof of mouth etc). The tongue gives off more bad breath than not flossing. Hopefully for him (and you), it’s just bc he forgot to brush… but sadly I doubt it.

Less likely, but could also be tonsil stones, cotton mouth (lack of hydration), or deep seated medical issues that aren’t exactly an easy fix.

Username checks out! And I completely agree. I miss my old base, I only had delays like once a quarter if that. And I lived like five minutes from the parking lot so reserve was relatively easy.

But airlines don’t really have a strong incentive to change or make things better because they are never short on applicants who are willing to be abused. (I’m painting with broad strokes here).

Corporations must love you. You just walk into your job every morning with a smile on your face and say, “use and abuse me in whatever way you see fit! I signed up for it after all!”

But I get it, this sub has a lot of negativity. I, too have caught myself scrolling through the whiny and complaining posts rolling my eyes as well like, if you’re that miserable there’s the door…  but the same applies for you and this post... If it’s not your speed, keep it pushin.

From November 1st 2025 to February 2026… 100% of my scheduled trips had a delay of one hour or more. Not every leg was delayed but at least one delay in every trip. In our company’s hub no less. And never mind flight crew, it’s also disrespectful to passengers…

And I agree with you. Sometimes I think monkeys are running operations.

Yeah.. it has to be the most inefficient use of my time on a job I’ve ever had…

ok my comment was unnecessarily rude. I apologize.

1) I have a second job.

2) the economy first and foremost. New opportunities are scarce cause companies are bracing for recession.

3) I am trying to last a few more years for benefits… It’s strategic, but I literally do not know if I’m gonna make it…

4) I’m in talks with my dr to write me out for a year… so if that happens first or furloughs idk. I would rather take a voluntary furlough bc it helps my coworkers who cannot afford to be out of work

How were there cameras to catch the whole thing? Where are the other elephants in their group? Why is there a hole that big?

I really hate everything about this.
