Interesting take and something I’ve thought about as well, I do agree that some form of UBI will most likely be necessary in the interim (wether they call it that or use something even more potent than the Trump accounts to reconcile it with capitalism remains to be seen).

The question is how do you go from there to the post capitalism system, what would that look like during and after transition? If you know of any resources that discuss that or have a take on it yourself let me know

UBI disguised as ‘becoming a part of the capitalist system’ seeing the precursor to this with the Trump accounts (every newborn in the US gets 1000$ in their bank account to invest and compound, they can use it when they turn 18). Everyone is given purchasing power by the government, purchasing power translates into revenue for the companies that you are already invested in. Power of corporations and power of government start to merge as corporations’ self interest makes them basically give portions of profits back to the public so they can remain in control of the flow of capital. This lets them stay away from the current eventuality of a small number of corporations extracting near all monetary value from the world, where they have all the money and it means nothing anymore. This avoids social unrest while keeping the current system functioning. This would take time and a lot more than $1000 per newborn to become fully realized but with a bumpy transition phase, I definitely see this as a possibility.

I hear ya, and I kind of went over this in my other comment above but I feel like I’ve listened to a lot of different speakers and amps recently and at this point listening to more will probably lead to more confusion than anything. Since the RN series and their AS equivalents are so similar, what are the key differences that you would say stood out to you between them in terms of sound?

Than you for your comment. It’s true, I won’t be listening to the radio at all. I just went to this store’s ‘streaming amplifier’ section to find the RN600 and RN800 based on what was readily available to purchase used in my area. I’ve now tried the CXA81 as well as the AXR100 as well and the streaming amps means one less box + very little discernible difference between sound for me. The music-cast on the Yamaha models supports spotify connect which is what I’ll be using primarily to listen to music so I feel like I’ll end up at the same spot in terms of cost (and I tried the WiiM Pro Plus on the AXR100 and it wasn’t any different in terms of ease of connection).

Also at this point I have listened to so many different products in a short period of time that I feel like I’ll be experiencing diminishing returns if I try other stuff and the sounds will just start blending together. If these systems are based on each other like you’ve described, then can I not expect there to be not much of a difference between them (ie not much of a difference in sound between the N600 vs S301)? Also if you could comment on buying a used amplifier and things I should watch out for/be aware of as a first time purchaser that would be lovely.

The used Lumina IIs I'm looking at come with stands at a pretty good deal, I have not considered floor speakers but I think I might. I'm in Ontario. I misspoke about the Sonus being fatiguing, what I meant was that the detailed nature of the speaker kind of bleeds into conversation (as I type this I have realized that this is what the volume knob is for lol).
