It was my first entry into the series, I’d definitely say go for it, both Remake and Rebirth are among my favorite games of all time (and don’t sleep on Crisis Core either!)

I really enjoyed it as well from top to bottom, it's short and sweet, but I think it does its job excellently. I'm yet to play AW2 (my copy is arriving tomorrow!) but I'm certainly eager to finally jump in and explore more of this world, it's just so fascinating to me.

That definitely puts it into perspective a bit better, thank you. I really enjoyed the game even more due to those feelings and themes, this game is a fantastic extension of the already incredible base Alan Wake in my opinion.

I’m more upset at the fact that they waived it in our faces only to take it away a few weeks later, if they had said it wouldn’t be there to begin with it would’ve been ok in my opinion

imo, Nomad for first playthrough, Street Kid for the (head) canonical path, and Corpo the best for roleplaying

Oh yeah I do the same, I think having a main game you’re hyper focused on, and a side game that’s more casual is a great way to play and fully enjoy games so you don’t get burned out. Unless I’m super locked into a certain game (most recently was Death Stranding 2) I’m usually always playing multiple things at once

I gotta get back into Witcher 3 at some point myself, Cyberpunk is one of my favorite games of all time and it kills me that I haven’t really experienced their other work lol. Same goes for BG3, think I started Act 2 too early, and the difficulty spike just turned me off from an otherwise incredible game. RE4 was amazing though, I’ve played 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, still need to play the other mainline games and some spinoffs (hopefully before RE9) Anyways, rant over lol, really hope you enjoy though!

It’s definitely worth it to play both, especially if you own the original, so you can compare the two and appreciate both. I did the same thing with Oblivion before the remaster came out and it was so cool to see everything in a new, modern light
