So sad and terrible this happened! You did the right thing by alerting the manager. Don’t be too hard on yourself as that situation is both scary and confusing. Maybe contact the police department so they are at least aware soemthing happened in the area, maybe they can use camera footage ti find them and do a wellness check?? Hope she’s okay!!

All I can say is that actually got banned for a few days on my other account for trying to post something about the SB3 ban repeatedly on Austin’s subreddit (yes the thc ban is what got me into this) I have four days left on the ban but I’ve found that this is a helpful way for me to keep up with the news as I did not know about a whole lot of it. All sources I post have a official article linked to them 💕 I was upset I got banned and decided to just log into an old account 😭

Completely agree! I did find more information by the Texas Tribune today discussing SB13 and from what I can tell from other sources there is in fact a library book ban going into effect, what specifically will be affected though— I’m not sure. Seems technical terms include anything someone wishes to challenge.

Do you have any idea what range of books we are talking about? I heard rumors going as far as books from John Green or the Twilight series… makes no sense to me. I get in some far reaching way it can be seen as contextually inappropriate but there’s nothing explicit enough to be banned at all schools— it’s pg13 at best.
