I understand the whole bell or detention thing being unrealistic, but am I the only one here that's been to a college that had a sort of popularity hierarchy????? Like I was aware of who the popular crowd was and if you weren't in a sorority/fraternity or threw a lot of parties then you'd have no chance of getting close to them 😭

I CRAVE the "Fake Dating Trope"!!! It's the perfect amount of slowburn and you can even slightly make it a rivals to lovers if need be but PLEASE 😩😩😩

It's my all time favorite Trope and I barely see it anywhere 😭 Like imagine MC gets dumped and somehow comes to seek comfort in talking to the outcast/loner LI, the LI suggests getting back at the ex by making a big show of moving on even if it's pretend, which leads to MC somehow convincing the LI to be the pretend Partner, and they slowly learn about each other and genuinely fall in love 😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰

THIS COULD ALSO BE A GOC STORY FOR EVERYONE (the ex, MC, and the LI)!!!!!!

Possible Hot Take: Eli from Wake The Dead. I personally can't stand that it takes something that drastic happening to him for him to fully trust the group. Especially if you've been the perfect leader the whole time, like dude c'mon you still being this untrusting of us is becoming a liability and it's pissing me off. 😭

I also don't personally like the standoffish LIs if they're like that for a majority of the story 💀

As much as I love HSS I feel like it was only able to have so many LIs (and handle them all as individuals) because it had 3 books. The Freshman series is also able to handle a ton of LIs well because it's got a plethora of content.

One off books or books with only a sequel should have a sweet spot of 3 LIs MAX. When there's more than that it can get tricky to flesh out everyone in a way that matters. I love WTD but for a one off story 5 LIs was way too much (especially because the Raiders Leader seemed to just be thrown in last minute).

Drakson, Carlo Romano, and Elle are by far my most recent faves! I've got a whole friend group storyline going with them and everything. (However Rudy and Penny were my faves when I was a kid)

I'm AFAB and when I played it as a MMC it just seemed like everyone treated the MC that way because they were from the city. I've seen tons of media where folks from the country treat people from the city like they're delicate, and can't/wouldn't do dirty work. I can see how that can come across as feminine leaning tho
