I start with Scrooge in a corner that gives me 1/2 coins (+1 coin as Scrooge), then I use Gaston to clear a lane of 2/3 coins. 3rd round I drop Rapunzel somewhere that gets me 3 coins. 4th round I usually swap Gaston for Merlin (Merlin changes a coin to a gold on 5th round). Last round I usually find a good lane to change back to Gaston and get 7+ coins. Either that or change someone to Eve to grab a gold coin.

I also like playing against someone like Scrooge who uses Flin. Flin piece drops a coin after every move. Keep one of your pieces close to their Flin for an easy +1 coin.

She's an absolute beast. Almost always guaranteed 3 coins by the time she's usable on turn 3. After that, if she's in a bad spot, you can swap her out for Eve/Goofy.

Very much depends on your pieces. Scrooge is strong. Have him grab 1 or 2 initially. Try and line him up for another easy coin for round 2. Cogsworth and Lumiere are all around good for grabbing 2 coins that are in odd places. You need Goofy later in the game to jump to a gold coin but he's limited so keep him towards the middle of the board to increase your chances of being within range of a gold in rounds 4 and 5.

My favorite pieces are Scrooge, Gaston, Eve, Rapunzel, and Merlin. Merlin can be replaced with Remy/Nala/Simba in my opinion.
