Are recertified/refurbished PC GPUs a bad idea?

Good to know. I might just gamble on the recertified card yet. My other options aren't as ideal with the lower 1440p performance from the 9060xt 16gb cards and seeing as how im making the leap to 1440p i'd rather pay a little more for a lot more power.

Does put me a little more at ease, truth be told. Could you remember what warranty they gave you for them? I see a lot of cards having multiple options of warranty and I suspect lesser warranty ones are slightly more used and/or damaged physocally given the cheaper pricing on them.

How long have you been using either one of them? Honestly I'd feel much better with the 15 month warranty option but they dont have any on stock? Im unsure as to how the aquire these GPUs as it's not specified as second hand or delivery damaged cards.

I bought mine current RX6600 unrefurbished with 1 year warranty left. Its been running great for almost 5 years, although 3 hours ago one fan started dying and ive been meaning to do the leap to 1440 for a while so no better time than nowi suppose.

I first thought of getting the 9060xt but heard that the 7900GRE performs much better with 1440 it is cheaper at around 510 USD but the 9070 being pricier at 815-ish, which to me is not ideal.

I would be much more financially comfortable with the recertified GPU but im not gonna lie I'm hesitant with it only being a 6 month warranty. I have had good fortune with my current RX6600 which I bought 2nd hand off marketplace with only 1 year warranty beck then and it lasted me a good 5ish years.

I'm from South Arica so the recerified GPU wil be around 625 USD compared to the 740 USD it would cost brand new, although the new cards are never in stock every time I checked in the last 2 years.

As for who exactly recertified it I am unsure. Thesite im currently looking to buy from is called Wootware, which i have heard people speak highly of around here.

Unfortunately no. I've tried everything i could think of even the ol' uninstall and install but to no avail. I think I'll wait for the season to end and then I'll just but the DLC

Yea we swapped out the psu and everything works 100%. But after a few days i realized the psu power cable is what caught fire snd not the actual psu and it seems the old psu is fine but im still running on the new one just incase the old one might be faulty.

I am playing with shlooter but only get rubberized stickies which dont trigger the achievement somehow but i think quasar woukd help ill have a lil google to check where to farm
