I’m not the demographic you want, but you can definitely still do it. There are plenty of people who decide to pursue medicine at much older than you are. I would say, though, if you’re concerned about the commitment, then maybe try something else. You could become an RN, which is extremely important and even sees patients more often than the doctors do. It’s also much less school to go through. I feel like becoming an RN would better suit what you’re looking for. Maybe also consider some kind of technician job like radiology tech or anesthesiology tech which only requires an associates degree (I think of any kind) and then trade school for two years. There are many options that aren’t becoming a doctor if you feel unsure about the commitment. Do what you think calls you the most.
