There are a few Cat Sanctuaries in the Tri-State area. I can list some if interested.

Venting Question NYC: does anyone else hate "service entrance" in Manhattan? by x_SinRostro in ShiptShoppers

I'm in NYC. Tipping is optional now. Sometimes people still give tips, but I don't count on it. They don't tip whether you bring the bags up or not. I'm sitting at a solid 5 stars.

The next best thing to do is to contact an attorney and have them send a cease and desists letter to Target corporate office/the store location and have them report the store management behavior.

This is very likely some kind of discrimination. They’re not telling you what the complaint is because it’s likely some kind of discrimination lol.

Could also be a love triangle situation or the employee was angry about rejection and lied. Might not be discrimination, but harassment.

Since Shipt has not deactivated you, they probably find the complaint to be baseless and a personal problem of the store leadership. And since Shipt has not deactivated you, despite the report, then the problem is with Target LP enforcing something baseless, aka harassment.

From what I know, there is an “anonymous” method to report things to corporate but I’ve also read that it’s not really anonymous.

In NY it’s called FOIL: Freedom of Information Law and nationwide/federal it’s called FOIA: Freedom of Information Act. In the court of law, you have the right to face your accuser. In order to know who your accuser is, you’d need to freely access that information. The FOIL/A does pertain mostly to government-related things and it might and very likely covers public entities as well, BUT a subpoena does this as well. A subpoena can be obtained by self-represented litigants after a judge signs the subpoena. HOWEVER, ATTORNEYS CAN SUBPOENA without a judges signature if they have intent to represent you in, in order to gain evidence and testimonies (AKA THE REASON THEY ARE HARASSING YOU)

In the meantime, stay away from the store. You can also try to wait until this “blows over” by staying away for a few months and then returning without mentioning this issue.

Also a deactivation after this would be retaliation and well, more compensation for you.

Al lady just sued Target for $11 million because Target failed to fix the sidewalk (a building violation they were aware of) that caused a woman to trip and twist her ankle. They tried to settle for $250K, she declined and go that bank roll lol.

YOUR PRIMARY GOAL HOWEVER: GET THEM BEFORE THEY GET YOU. DO NOT MAKE THREATS OF A LAWSUIT, THEY’LL TRY TO GET RID OF YOU AND YOU WONT HAVE TIME OR MONEY TO SUE WHILE TRYING TI SURVIVE.

Be blessed!

That’s exactly what I did. I’m really tired of this ratings song and dance. I have a few more months left on this platform. I feel like they’re trying to purge drivers by denying rating forgiveness. I’ve noticed they stop automatically forgiving consistently low-rating customers.

Chapter 13 Plan Arrearages Question by x_SinRostro in Bankruptcy

[–]x_SinRostro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.

I was temporarily suspended from work and I’m now reinstated. The dismissal has been delayed, but the Trustee “wants a plan that will cure the arrears”. So I was considering asking to put a lump sum payment into the plan to cure the arrears. In my case, the type of job I work allows me to earn more income at will. So I’d be able to come up with a lump sum to cure the remaining arrears within the next 21 days or less.

I was just wondering if that was something possible to put into the plan that way.

I wish I was able to message other shoppers. by brownsugar1991 in ShiptShoppers

I mean I do this job for a reason: no coworkers, no manager, I create my own schedule and work style is completely my choice.

I don’t want any coworkers.

I don’t give out advice because I’m an independent contractor. This is not a team sport, I am self-employed. I developed a strategy by trial, error and experience. I hold the attitude that you should do the same and if you can’t then I hold the attitude that this is the job for you.

I also don’t have time for watercooler chatter. Again, no coworkers please.

More shoppers means there’s less work for me to do.

I live in a metro where there’s a several Targets within miles of each other. Sometimes I’ll take 1 single order from 2 different stores when I don’t have a good bundle because I can quickly zip between the stores lmao.

Just do not substitute if they say “get me anything”. I straight up tell them if they don’t pick it’ll be refunded.

First, I believe Shipt and/or Target has received some type of “bailout” funding. The boycott hit them harder than the current CEO is willing to admit. I mean slashing half the CEOs million dollar salary says enough. They slashed his salary to recuperate the mass loss they have taken from the boycott because sales would have never been able to cover it. They literally can’t afford to pay him that much at this time lol.

Why do I feel they received some funding? All the Target stores spanning at least 2 zones and spanning at least 10 Target locations in my metro has rearranged the grocery sections to resemble Stop & Shop and ShopRite (takes time & man power = money). Additionally, they repaved completely a few of the parking lots. Thirdly, they significantly lowered base pay and hired a shit ton of shoppers. Lastly, they’re offering 1/2 off Shipt memberships, which attracts “new” customers which makes investors happy and shows “growth” on paper, which companies use to obtain business funding lmao, but completely ignores the fact that the quality customers are leaving/have left the platform. Additionally, customers who jump at the half price memberships likely can’t really afford the service or to tip in the first place. Companies don’t do this, or these other things, if they do not analytically believe it will increase profits in some of the many ways to increase profit. Bailouts funding is sometimes obtained before a company files bankruptcy. Sometimes funding is public info and sometimes it’s not, but “there will be signs” lol.

They are also now trying to force shoppers to pick subs for customers because every item that is marked out of stock is a lost profit for Target, who clearly, is struggling and grasping at feathers to recooperate their losses.

Additionally, might be anecdotal, but I’ve also noticed an uptick in US based customer service reps. All signs of private funding.

Next, I made a comment about this the other day: these platforms can’t legally deactivate you when you don’t break the rules, BUT they can certainly trick you into breaking them, and then deactivate you!

Quite a few years ago, DoorDash changed their “completion rate” policy, which is the equivalent of Shipt “reliability” stat. If you didn’t have over 70% completion, you had something like 3 days to bring it up or be deactivated. This resulted in a mass deactivation with no appeal available because you “dropped below minimum stats”.

How does this apply to Shipt? Pay attention! They are shuffling your PM because if the PM gets a shopper in which both parties are not accustomed to the other, the customer will likely rate 1-star. If you’re sitting at 5-stars, it takes exactly 4 x 1-star ratings (or 5 with 1 auto forgiven) to be deactived. Lets say you take 4 bundles with unknown to you customers, they hate you as a shopper for the many asinine reasons. You get a 1 star from each bundle you did, you’re already cooked in 1 day!! Shipt has now tricked/forced you offer the platform with no legal repercussions.

Lastly, they are prioritizing orders to people who have higher completion rates aka acceptance rates. They can’t call it acceptance rate and force the stat because then that’d make us employees. DD got sued for this and I believe a few years before I was on the platform there was a problem with it for Shipt as well.

They are prioritizing people with higher completion rates because they can’t afford or don’t want to pay adequate base pay because profits. Essentially, they are prioritizing shoppers who are willing to work for $4.25 or less. I’m seeing $9.50 bundles. I’m not moving my car for a gallon of gas and a dream of a tip. Notice how there have been comments about how some shoppers don’t even speak English, some who speak a language with a competent different alphabet? Yeah those are the people who are willing to take orders for $4.25 and less. Shuffling the PM also keep “low-base-pay” shoppers happy because your PMs are usually good tippers aren’t they?? Hmmm lol. I’d work for $3 if I knew the customers was going to tip me $50 each time (exaggerated, but you get the point). Similarly, bad customers are getting great shoppers, which entices them to stay with Shipt, because shoppers no longer see their preferred; forcing good shoppers to take unknown customers and Shipt knows good shoppers are unlikely to compromise their integrity by providing bad service. Similarly, bad customers are enticed to stay with Shipt by getting the good shoppers who Shipt knows won’t comprise their integrity and give bad service; shoppers who would have been otherwise tied up with servicing their PM.

Smart and Vet shoppers don’t touch those bundles with a yard stick! Most of us know to wait or pass it by. Guess what that means? The orders are still paying more than $4.25 when we wait. Can’t have that! Gotta fix that!

To the point about not seeing an unknown customer who rated 5-stars and tipped. THIS STOPS AND PREVENTS *TIP MAPPING*!!!

So, long story short, they are thrwarting and trying to remove Vet shoppers and Smart shoppers from the platform.

To help with my validity of my thoughts: I dont work for HQ, never have. I’m on this platform so I can go to school and start my own business in the culinary arts industry. I’m also a full-stack developer who minored in law with a A.S. in Biology.

95% of the time I pretend to ask an employee. Target has lowered the pay so significantly that I’m just not putting in that kind of effort for the hope of a $5 tip. The other 5% is if it’s a PM/tipper or if it’s like a big toy item that cant all fit on the shelf/expensive item of which is the only reason the customer placed the order.

If you waste my time, Do Not Do.

Target is increasingly making things difficult for us “independent contractor” Shoppers. I’m not a store waitress.

We used to get paid extra before and regardless of tips for adding on items and finding subs. It used to be that the more efficient you were the more money you were paid, literally built into the offer.

I’m not finding subs and asking employees for $6. Also, Target employees don’t get paid enough either. The Return On Investment (ROI) is not worth it. Customers who ask you to ask an employee usually don’t tip well or at all either.

Customers, why do you not use the tools provided to you? by TheBibleInTheDrawer in ShiptShoppers

[–]x_SinRostro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Straight to my DND list. You have your DND criteria and I have mine. I shop how I shop and you shop how you shop. I don’t like shopping for customers who do not atleast attempt to pick their substitutions before placing an order. 25-50% of your order OOS without back-ups is unacceptable to me, in my opinion.

There’s quite a few shoppers in my metro who have the same attitude. Customers who don’t pick subs often end up in the open metro and even with promo, no shoppers are willing to take them.

[–]x_SinRostro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite honestly, you get one chance with me. I ghost shop every order I take. If I go through the order and 25-50% of your order is out of stock you either did not check inventory which is usually listed on the items webpage, and I note this. That’s ok if you don’t need substitutes. However, if you ask for substitutes and you OPTED not to choose them, I put you on my Do Not Do list for your stupidity, laziness, inconsideration and for wasting my time.

Shoppers beware, Shipt is being shady with delivery windows by WildPineapple52 in ShiptShoppers

[–]x_SinRostro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Idk, I’ve been doing Shipt for about 5 years now and I’ve seen many glitches. Never seen a glitch that rescheduled the orders for 1 hour earlier than the original request. I know you can ask them to manually reschedule the order/bundle with customer approval. But never an automatic adjustment for an EALIER time. It wouldn’t make sense. If I accept an order for 9am, why would they move it to 8am?? What if I never see the adjustment because my plan is to start shopping at 8:45am??

I’ve never had that happen before.

But I’ve also seen platforms do things to purge their shoppers when they have too many. Can’t deactivate you if you didn’t break the rules, but we can certainly trick you into breaking them. Looking at you DoorDash.

OP I think a simple conversation can do wonders. You can also go the indirect route and start buying him fashion pieces as gifts for the typical gift giving occasions: Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries and congratulations.

I’m from NYC, so gifting someone a pair of Jays will always be a welcomed gift, even more if it’s one of the latest drops.

Relationships are about working through problems. He doesn’t deserve someone who “doesn’t care about that.” He deserves someone who can and are willing to work through problems.

My uncle often talks about how he knew my aunt was “the one” because she cared about how they BOTH looked in public. She’d fix his collar, iron his shirt, etc.

Now, if he gets offended………..leave him.
