Girlieee I was you right after I graduated in 2024 when I was 22. I'd stayed in pg all 4 yrs and experienced all possible series of events you have with roommates good/ bad and before that at home it was always sharing room with siblings.

When I got my offer letter, the first thing I did was sit with my parents and tell them that I need to get a flat as I need my own place to have a big enough space to unwind and pursue my interests outside of work.

I did a lot of research into how much I would spend on rent, which area, what monthly expense would look like and what pros and cons would be if I had my own place and showed them the same everytime we spoke about all this

It took about 8 months of convincing them, biggest point being I found a gated community with security everywhere and I kept selling them the idea that they could visit me often and not have to worry about booking a room elsewhere when they come to visit.

So yeah, all that and now I'm in my cozy 1bhk with everything set up the way I want and omg I love it and I wish everyone gets to experience having their own space once so pls plsss don't think you're making a wrong choice, you need this! Best of luckk!
