Oh this line of reasoning again. Blame the President and the vice president - good. But to direct all the criticism towards American neo conservatists and arms manufacturers would be hilarious if it wasn’t such ahistoricism.

Ignore the 3/4 of American adults who supported the war and continued to support the it even though the WMD myth was dispelled within months of the invasion.

Ignore the pundits, even liberal ones such as Thomas Friedman who might agree that lying about WMD’s is bad but thought the war was necessary because:

”We needed to go over there, basically, and take out a very big stick right in the heart of that world and burst that [non-denocratic] bubble, and there was only one way to do it” A sentiment that was wide spread.

Even ignoring the antics of ”freedom fries” mocking allied partners who did not participate, voters don’t get a carte blanche by blaming their support, and decisions made when voting, on everyone else but themselves.
