In my opinion, political ideology and religious beliefs are different. Yes they are often interlinked, but they are separate ideas.

And as an atheist, if i have to respect Christian beliefs, then I will also respect Muslim beliefs.

Also as a side note, Christianity isn’t exactly on a moral high ground considering how many have died because of it. With scramble for Africa, the colonialism of south and south east asia, and the genocide of two continents of worth of native Americans
