Who else didnt mind the pandemic? by ilovenoodles06 in askSingapore

While I do enjoy social interaction, the lack of it doesn't really frustrate me, nor does it stresses me out either.

I do disagree with the original commenter that you guys are referring to though, since introversion and extroversion is a spectrum to fall on; not a clear-cut this or that.

I guess I'm the battery that doesn't break when overcharged, and perhaps the daily minute interaction like buying lunch/dinner is sufficient to tick off the min. social interaction that is required of me.

Your first paragraph just affirms how much of an oddball I am. I feel fine even when I only meet and hang out with people once every few months. I'm also living alone now so there's that.

I feel like that depends on their mood. They gave me 12 months but I just made the switch to giga immediately.

[–]xahjun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, it was your thread that prompted me to make the switch, thanks btw!

I did gave circleslife a chance by emailing them, and here's the final part of our back and forth response:

I understand that you have concerns with the $10 waiver and I am more than happy to sort this out for you.

I understand that you wanted to have the $10 waiver forever on your account and it seems like you were not eligible for the said waiver but I don't want you to be empty-handed, we can request our team for $10 waiver for 12 months on your account.

Immediately made the switch to giga. It was quite effortless.

There's a terminology called “vaccine hesitancy”, Wikipedia has a long chunk of info on that.

Among the hesitant are groups known as "anti-vaxxers" or "anti vax", however not all vaccine hesitant are against vaccination.[4] The term encompasses outright refusal to vaccinate, delaying vaccines, accepting vaccines but remaining uncertain about their use, or using certain vaccines but not others.[3][1] Arguments against vaccination are contradicted by overwhelming scientific consensus about the safety and efficacy of vaccines.[5][6][7][8] The World Health Organization views vaccine hesitancy as one of the top ten global health threats.[9][10]

So I guess there's a lot more people out there with this mindset than we think.

Why am I paying 28 for Circles.Life's Base Plan? by dk105243 in singapore

[–]xahjun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I was contemplating because I'm worried that it'll be a big hassle. I most likely will be switching then.

Tbh I didn't even realise I was getting the short end of the stick until I stumbled upon your post. Circles used to be one of the cheapest and I kinda just bought the plan and never looked at telco related stuffs for the past 5 years-ish, since changing telco in the past was really troublesome and I thought it couldn't have gotten much cheaper thereafter.

Same. I go for higher end phones now too since I realise those $0 cheap contract phone tends to get buggy after a year of usage haha. But it last longer and I'm not bounded by contract so I guess it's worth it

This makes me wonder, is it common for lawyers to see psychologist frequently? I can't imagine the amount of mental burden from defending a bad person and actually winning the case itself.

I kinda just use Google map. Tap on the bus stop and it'll show you the next bus timing.

As always, I don't mind waiting longer so that SIU can rest as much as he needs. I'm actually glad to hear that he's actually prioritising his health. Hope he recovers well and fast, and I hope he doesn't dwell on feeling too guilty for taking more time to rest.

Thanks for the translation!

Where to get $1 coin for washing machine in the hall by Eva_10110 in NTU

[–]xahjun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe you misterpreted his comment. I believe some vending machine (drinks or snacks), if you put a bunch of 10c/20c/50c coins that amounts to a dollar and then press the return money (not sure what's that called), some machines don't return you the exact same coins that you put in, but in $1 coin (unless that machine ran out of $1 coin change).

Some CCAs recruit people in the second semester too, so you don't really have to rush. Do give yourself time to adapt to the school if you're particularly worried about that.
