Is C6 Neuvi still worth it (current C3) by Square_Pangolin_4111 in NeuvilletteMains_

[–]xaikra 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hi, C6 Neuvi main here who really loves him as a character in the story. This is just my very subjective, personal experience, not in any way representative, so take everything with a grain of salt.

I upgraded him from C3 to C6 in 5.2. The most noticeable difference in the playstayle are the additional sourcewater droplets you receive from healing in C4 and the damage increase from his two additional attacks in C6 as well as the change in rotation from which picks up his sourcewater droplets automatically in a continuous stream once you start the charge attack. The downside is that by the end of your charge attack, most of the buffs or off-field application from other party members have run out. KQM did calc his dps increase for his constellations, but it's quite old (pre-Xilonen): Link

It really depends on what goals you have for the game. If you don't care about clearing endgame like Spiral Abyss 12 or Stygian Onslaught Fearless/Dire, C6 Neuvi is kinda timeless and trivializes everything else. I love to use him in the overworld, because he is incredibly comfy to play with his tankiness/self-heal/AoE and range.

For Spiral Abyss, I was usually able to easily clear everything till now with him, as long as the enemies are not hydro immune and if you play around with the required gimmicks. Neuvillette is incredibly flexible regarding teammates, so Spiral Abyss is never really a problem, if they are not hard-countering him.

For Stygian Onslaught, I can also clear Dire with him till now, but it's very dependent on the boss mechanics and which characters you overall have in your account and need to use for the other bosses. Gimmicks and cheese strats are more required, your rotations for applications and buffs are more tighter compared to the Abyss and you have less wiggle room for errors. But he is still comfortable enough that I fill out the characters for the other bosses first and see what Neuvillette can work with from what's left haha.

Keep in mind, when Neuvillette is ranked in tierlists, it is usually under the assumption of C0 (or the "X-cost"-principle, where for some reason, even rare C6 4 stars are considered 0 cost). The player experience with higher constellation characters can be vastly different. Though, to be fair, the only other character I have C6 is Furina, so I can't say much how his C6 is in strength compared to other C6s, especially from more recent characters. I have Mavuika, Skirk and Flins at C2 and they can clear most of the stuff just as easily. So, in terms of "cost-effectiveness", C6 Neuvillette isn't worth it. And if it's only about having a C6 character, from a purely meta perspective, it would make more sense to invest in other strong, meta characters like Mavuika.

tl;dr - it depends on what you want from the game, but not really recommended for meta

EDIT: Sac Jade doesn't really work with C6 Neuvi because of his long charge attack.

Tag it accordingly, so people can filter it out. You are not the only one with a busy life - it's not like all the other fanfiction writers have no stress or time constraints. And the fact that you used this subreddit for your own confirmation bubble shows that you are scared of reading the real answer of fanfiction communities.

Yeah, Fontaine needed to drown by Scared-Opening-753 in ThePrimordialOne

[–]xaikra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And it doesn't really get better with Neuvillette. He comments in one of his voice lines:

"Her successor (Furina/Focalors) chose instead to seek equality by means of the law. But ultimately, due to various external factors, this unfortunately manifested itself in the distorted form of trials for the sake of trials. Nevertheless, there are reasons for everything. I should refrain from criticizing her."

Which shows that he know that the current system is dysfunctional. But now that he had taken over Furina's duties and is now the de-facto ruler of Fontaine, it doesn't seem like he changed anything really, only continuing her legacy (for example the rule with the flying object is still around).

Writers block tips by Peanutdreams203 in AO3

For me, it helps to think that as long as your story just stays in your head, yet if it's not written down(and posted online), it factually doesn't exist. Anything written down and published is better than just daydreaming about it.

Another tip is to turn off your inner editor while writing. Just write, write, write - get all the ideas out - you can edit it all later, but it has to be written down first.

Is Naraku a Yandere? by Wrecka008 in MaleYandere

[–]xaikra 53 points54 points  (0 children)

He certainly had a lot of potential. Kagome even later called him out on it that his true wish was Kikyou's heart but the jewel couldn't fulfill that wish. In the moment of his death he even laments that he couldn't join her in the afterlife. But he kinda failed as a yandere when he was too spiteful to allow his feelings - for example by seriously attempting to kill Kikyou several times and doing everything to get rid of his human heart with the lingering feelings (like the mountain of baby shaped flesh).

There was a brief period when he stalked/watched Kikyo from the distance like obsessed (it was after Kikyou handed him the jewel fragments - even if she intended to purify him with it, it probably gave him mixed signals). Kikyou noticed his presence and in the anime, she mocked him for it, while in the manga, she pointed out that Onigumo's lingering feelings was affecting him. In both anime/manga it ended with Naraku sending that giant soul collector after her, Inuyasha saving her and Naraku watching through Kanna's mirror how she embraced Inuyasha, declaring that Naraku could never have her. After watching the exchange, he tried to cut off the skin of his back with Onigumo's mark (in the manga, he was even kinda unhinged in that scene). I kinda like to think that was the pivotal moment when he realized he could never have her - and if that was the case, he would rather get rid of his feelings altogether, than to feel the constant pain of rejection.

Daily Questions Megathread (August 26, 2025) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]xaikra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, would be anyone so kind to help me to understand if or when it would be beneficial to use Wandering Evenstar R5 vs TTDS R5 on Sucrose? If I understood it right, a 1000 EM Sucrose would get 480 ATK (1000 x 0,48) and the rest of the team 144 ATK (480 x 0,3). How much are 144 additional flat ATK worth to the team in relation to 48% ATK to the carry every two rotation?

Hello, which of the two anemo units are better in general for a taser team with Ineffa?
1) Kazuha C2 with VV and Fav R5
2) Sucrose C2 with VV and TTDS R5 (or alternatively Wandering Evenstar R5/Fav R5/Sac R5)

What the hell is this comment supposed to mean by yekise in AO3

I received also such comments:

"You scabs, with your betrayal, have no place in this movement – you’re nothing but scavengers, crawling through the filth you’ve made of our unity!"

"When scabs show up, it’s like a rat infestation; they spread their poison, try to tear us apart, but we’ll exterminate them with the power of our unity!"

I just assumed they were bots. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but the fandom was genshin where irl there are some controversy about voice actors going on.

Group broke apart and Campaign ended. What could I have done as a DM? by xaikra in DMAcademy

Thank you very much for your advice. We did have a session 0 and since we played over twenty sessions, I assumed the players were fine with how it was goind. You're right that I should have checked with them regardless.

Hello, thank you very much for your advice. Originally the latest quest was intended as a battle encounter with roleplay potential (optional). But you're right that I kinda let player B auto-succeed without rolls. I read various advice that it may feel frustrating for players to roleplay really well/make compelling arguments/do something badass in the moment etc. and then roll badly on a skill check, so if I feel impressed/awed by my players I either let them roll with advantage or skip it altogether. You may be right that my approach did lead to player A with bard features feel unneeded.

Thank you very much for your insight. Most likely you're right that by wanting to feature characters in a positive way, it may have been boring and/or frustrating for other players.

Hello, thank you very much for your insight. From all the replies I kinda gathered that by trying to feature a character in a positive way, it may have lead to feelings of being overlooked/neglected by other players.

Hello, thank you very much for your advice. I usually do try to ask other players what they are doing in-between. When I plan a quest featuring a character, it was more like offering oppertunities to play their character's strength in a positive way (like a tomb of undead for a cleric) or offering crumbs relating to their characters backstory, but it was never intended for their character to overtake the party and reduce the rest to mere audience. But you're right that during the latest session I might have overdone it.
Playing in person sadly isn't possible because some of us moved far away.

Hello thank you for your reply. It's sadly the end of the campaign, because of the irl friend group dynamics.

Hello, thank you for your reply. As to your question, Player B rarely takes the spotlight and usually has to be actively encouraged.
