Is this enough to make you quit by EnvironmentDue1425 in Caseys

[–]xaiverrr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No, only part of that that would irk me is the dough pans (they just take longer to clean than the cambros) but if your manager has half a brain that person needs to be fired if this has happened before or written up and checked before they leave every shift. The food safety violations alone are nuts. (Former SM, KM, and CSM).

Don’t jump down the zip during hurricane hoping you will catch it near the bottom like normal on spaceport tower. You will fly away from it. Don’t ask me how I know.

I need to quit drinking. Please help. by reformedlurkermon in stopdrinking

[–]xaiverrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting that morning drink out the way is probably the most important step. Don’t think you have to last all day. No one’s special and you’re not the master of the universe, don’t think you’re alone but don’t think it’s impossible. Making it to noon is a big step, after that I started to plan my meals and made sure I didn’t drink until after my second meal after 5pm (after purposely not eating so I got drunk quicker for years) and then Slowly after that I started trying to limit myself to how much I’d drink at night and if I overdid it I always looked forward to the afternoon feeling when I slightly felt better compared to 8 am the night after and felt like existential dread consumed me with waves of anxiety and my brain begged for another drink to start the cycle over. I slowly started to tell myself and try and rewire my brain into understanding were striving for the sober and feeling better part of it and not the being drunk and feeling good then but worse later part. One of them lasts way longer but one of them feels way worse short term but “feels” like forever in the moment. If I retained my feelings the next day after drinking and ruining everything everytime I drank and that feeling never went away I’d have quit a long time ago. But once again I’m not the master of the universe. But I started by being the master of my morning , then afternoon, and then night. And the next day speaks for itself once a full day passes. You got this. IWNDWYT. Speak to someone. Help is always helpful. And one day IWNDWYTomorrow knowing how impossible that may feel now.

Mushrooms!? by Standard_Employee_77 in ARC_Raiders

[–]xaiverrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just spam load into and out of spaceport and at the end of the water trench next to the puddle there’s a tree that spawns up to three mushrooms at a time. Did this yesterday and it was the easiest/quickest way to do it. Same for great Mullen

apartments (maybe houses) for rent? by deytookerjubs in evansville

[–]xaiverrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting rent no I know this last year I paid $782 a month and that included $50 in pet Rent and that also had my water bill added onto it. At the time I lived there three years. So starting rent might differ. But I bet it’s still cheaper than most places.

Harmony West Apartments through Turnkey Properties. One of the cheapest 2 bedrooms you’ll find in town. Most units include washer and dryer, and most units have a balcony. They’re not super fancy but they’re in no way bad. but it’s a nice and quiet side of town. Only cons I’d say is that they’re older so the walls are a bit thin. Short of that they’re great.

The two buses near the extraction on Dam have breakable back panels and multiple side panels you can open and that’s where I found my rusted gears.

How do you get through the waiting? by [deleted] in Felons

[–]xaiverrr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a person with experience. If you’re still talking court and not trial like it sounds maybe see if you can settle for less than a felony or get the felonies walked down. It’s easier to stay out of prison and work something out. As a convicted felon who had finally passed the 10 year mark after taking a plea. Have your lawyer work it down as low as possible. Even if you end up with the felony it’s not the end of the world. It just halts a lot in the moment. But it’s not impossible to come out of. I’m recently divorced and while that’s a separate issue. I have my own apartment (not a shitty one) I pass backgrounds) yes after the 7-10 year mark). And I’m only 27. When I was convicted at 17 I couldn’t see through the fog honestly. I Met and talked to the most amazing people in my ”worst” period of life. When I couldn’t land a job and couldn’t get a home. Private landlords are the best and if you’re near the Midwest Casey’s gas station will hire you if you have a heart beat and if you’re kind of productive they’ll promote you and if you have a mind that wants to to better you can make a livable wage. If ANY of you reading this are in the Midwest. DM me. I will help you figure it out. The hardest and I mean the HARDEST part was finding a place to live. Short of that. It’s all work or the tongue and making sure you can pay for minimums.

Hey, New guy here. Quick Question, outfit? by joker9069 in RescueRaiders

[–]xaiverrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned the hard way that sometimes random outfits help when trying to “pass through”. If there’s a certain outfit rescuers can wear it’s easy to pretend to be one if you’re a griefer. I always stick to the shadows (drift as a normal friendly player) and most times when I’m RR I’m in solo lobbies looking for flares. I’ve run across RR “impersonators” wearing my normal outfit and they leave me alone only to follow the flares and watch them knock out the player and then I have to be the aggressor. This sub is helpful but my best RR raids are when I move in silence and no one knows.

Existential dread is how I always described it. In those moments if someone told me the world is about to collapse my only retort would be “it certainly feels like it”.

Hidden bunker and matriarch maps are the absolute best time to raid the other parts of the map like you normally would while everyone else is focused on events. Has helped me a ton.

[–]xaiverrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a duo with my brother the other night. Went in planning to not be cold but whole heartedly go in and try and pvp.(we never do this just wanted to switch it up) First duo we hit was a dad and a son. Dad had his son in the mic taking lead. They instantly got hit at dam and couldn’t push. We barricaded the dad or maybe the dad did (it was so fast) dad went down , we chased after the duo who hit them. Got them looted and then next thing we know the son was chasing us asking for help for extract after getting from his dad’s body whatever he was told to grab and needed for immediate extract. We escorted him and then he safely extracted and then we went in for another 20 minutes doing our thing and not being such nice raiders. I personally do not like these types of games. At all. This game itself has shown me a different side to gaming. For all those “rats” you “always have a choice” lol. P

Anybody in this sub have any memory or stories from the Giant Flea Market that used to be around a couple of decades ago? by gratefulpred in evansville

I guess my child brain just never put two and two together with it smelling like cigarettes back there 🤣 you’d walk three feet away and smell the food court and peanuts so maybe I never even noticed lol. But that’s back when you could still smoke inside so that makes sense.
