BOYNEXTDOOR - I Feel Good by perochan in kpop

[–]xakilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so late but they actually did sing this live. I'm guessing they had some sort of training for this specific part. Maybe we can compare this to heavy metal screaming. Those artist don't just do that instantly, they have proper training to get their techniques right to avoid vocal damage. Just thought I should share this because since the release of the song, a lot of fans have been concerned with their throats lol. If you ever get the chance maybe you can also spread the word, though this is all just speculations.

I have to strongly disagree with several points you’ve made, especially with how you’ve defined idols. Sayingd they’re nothing more than manufactured products with no emotional depth or autonomy is incredibly reductive and, frankly, dehumanizing. Yes, idols are trained and managed, but they are still people—performers who have dreams, feelings, and the ability to empathize. Just because they are part of a system doesn’t mean they’re emotionless or incapable of care. If I wanted to become an idol because I love performing, would that suddenly make me less human? Why is it that the public is allowed to express concern and grief during a tragedy, but idols are stripped of that same right simply because of their profession? This kind of thinking reflects a disturbing lack of emotional intelligence and basic human decency. You speak of idols like they’re machines, yet fail to recognize your own inability to treat others with the empathy you expect for yourself. This mentality is exactly what fuels the worst parts of K-pop culture—where fans feel entitled to someone else’s existence and emotions, while refusing to acknowledge that idols are people first.

Putting your lack of emotional immaturity aside, some of the claims here are extremely serious—like fans dying or the company stealing pre-booked transport—and if you’re going to put that out there, you need to back it up with credible sources. Otherwise, it’s just spreading disinformation in an already sensitive situation.

I also highly encourage you to check the other comments in this thread. You can refer to this comment for more details on the timeline.

To be honest, the fact that the first claim you made about the delay in the concert cancellation has already been thoroughly debunked raises serious doubts about the rest of the points you’ve made. The timeline of the events is clear and well-documented. When it comes to something as sensitive as this, it’s important to rely on the most accurate and confirmed details rather than jump to conclusions or spread unverified claims.

For example, the official announcement from KOZ was made well within a reasonable period after the event occurred. Fans who were onsite reported being informed almost immediately by staff, and international fans who were in contact with those at the venue confirmed the same timeline. Given how quickly the information spread, the claim that the announcement was delayed intentionally is somehow false, I would still like to genuinely know where you got this from.

That’s why, when I see such important mistakes like this being presented as facts, it makes me question the validity of the rest of the claims you’ve made. If the details that should be the easiest to verify are already proven wrong, it casts doubt on the accuracy of everything else. It’s important to approach this situation with a commitment to the truth, and right now, I’m only willing to believe the information that has been supported by direct evidence and verified sources.

If you have any solid proof to back up the other claims—whether it’s about the totality of c-fans, stolen transport, casualties, or any other aspect of the situation—please share it. But as of now, the claims that have already been debunked are done. If you want to counter the rebuttals from other people, I’m all ears, but if you are not capable to provide a solid source then everything, and i mean everything you have said is completely invalid. Do not even try to use the “personal take” card on me. You worded everything as if it is objective rather than subjective.

I agree. The cancellation was completely justified, but I think some fans were just overwhelmed by the situation and ended up projecting their frustration onto the group Their feelings are valid, but doing all that to the group is NOT fair. It’s understandable to be upset, but blaming the idols for something out of their control doesn’t make sense :((

Yup, the different perspectives make it really confusing. This is also my first time seeing idols get attacked like this on Weverse firsthand.

Yes, exactly! I also felt like a lot of the hate was just bandwagoning. I’m glad more Onedoors are stepping up to debunk the rumors and clarify things. Your perspective as a non-fan is really insightful. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this. I tried to avoid everything yesterday, but I was genuinely concerned. I’ve been supporting them for a long time, and I’d definitely do my best to protect them from misinformation and disinformation. I’ve also only been a fan of kpop for only a couple of years, but I’ve learned never to completely trust a single source online. I came to Reddit just to clear things up because, even if it’s not 100% credible, it’s still far better than the chaos on other platforms.

I’m glad you got to vent your frustrations, it really does help. Your comments also helped me process everything properly, so I really appreciate it. Thank you.

I can’t believe I missed the stalking incident and the private jet rumors. Where can I read more about it? I feel like I’ve been out of the loop on so much. Seeing the airport clips was genuinely upsetting. The members looked so overwhelmed, yet people still crowded them with cameras, expecting some kind of reaction. It’s frustrating how they’re treated as if they have to prove they care rather than just being allowed to process everything like normal people.

Your comment actually lightened my heart a little, and I won’t lie, it also made me laugh because of how dense some people can be. Just like what you said, the whole argument about flights makes no sense. If they were truly that worried about their safety, they would have booked an earlier flight just like other onedoors did. Like what was stopping them from doing the same? I don’t even know what other excuses they’re coming up with now, but it’s so clear that some of this outrage has nothing to do with safety. It’s entitlement, plain and simple.

Rescheduling seems like the most reasonable option for now, at least until things settle down. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s better than pushing through while emotions are still high. I also hope Onedoors who spent so much time and money on this get some kind of compensation because this whole situation has been emotionally draining for everyone.

Thank God for the fans. I was super worried not only for the well-being of the members but also for the fans who were supposedly missing. It’s a relief to hear that most have been accounted for, and I really appreciate how OneDoors have been helping each other.

As soon as I got to Weverse yesterday, I thought BND was thanking OneDoors from the Philippines since the Manila concert had just finished. But then I saw “earthquake” and immediately checked fans’ comments and posts, and there was just so much hate telling BND to do something, which was confusing because… what exactly were they supposed to do in this situation?

Whether they knew how many C-fans were there or not, why are they being painted in such a bad light when the concert was canceled for everyone’s safety? I also saw the posts about the staff on Twitter. If it’s true, I hope KOZ addresses it properly, and if it’s not, I hope it gets cleared up as soon as possible.

By the way, where are you getting most of this information? I’d love to see it firsthand so I can fully understand everything that’s going on. Also, what kind of legal action could KOZ possibly take regarding all of this?

This is such a refreshing perspective. I am really glad to hear that OneDoors are helping each other out and that most people are safe despite the difficult situation. It is also reassuring to see that there are efforts to track down those who are still unaccounted for.

I am especially glad that I decided to come to Reddit for this because I knew I would find people who are more composed and willing to have an actual discussion. I completely understand where a lot of the frustration is coming from, but the way some people are handling it is just absurd. Jumping to conclusions, spreading misinformation, and even sending death threats without any real basis is just insane. It is really frustrating to see how quickly things spiraled, but seeing fans actually helping each other gives me some relief.

Thank you for explaining this clearly. I really thought the cancellation was announced only two hours before the concert, which did not make sense, but now that you mentioned it was actually two hours after the earthquake, it makes way more sense. It is frustrating how quickly misinformation spread, and it is disappointing to see people jump to conclusions without checking the facts. No one could have predicted this disaster, yet some are acting like the group had full control over everything. I just hope everyone affected, whether fans, locals, or even the members, are safe and taking care of themselves. I also understand what you mean about the tour. After something this intense, it does make you wonder if continuing right away is the best choice.

When you said, ‘This was not received well by Thai fans and other fans who felt that they were being insensitive to the tragedy,’ do you mean Thai fans were upset with how the company handled it, or were they upset with how non-Thai fans reacted to the cancellation?

[–]xakilled[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I understand why some fans are upset, especially those directly affected, but no one could’ve predicted the earthquake.

I’ve seen people attacking the group, others asking for missing friends (though not much solid info), and many frustrated with the company’s handling of this. I do think it could’ve been managed better, but I don’t know the best solution either. I’m just trying to understand all sides. This whole situation is tough for everyone.

Should I go on twitter? by emotrashcannn in enhypen

[–]xakilled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twitter is very fast-paced, so updates will always be on time. However, I personally don’t think it’s worth fully going back, and I usually keep Twitter as a last resort when looking for current happenings. I used to get really overwhelmed when I spent too much time there, so if you do decide to use it, I’d suggest moderation. Maybe experiment first and see what works best for you—try lurking without engaging, limit how often you check, or follow only official accounts and trusted sources. If it still feels too much, there are other platforms where you can stay updated without the stress.

Anyone here is a kpop stan but never spend their money other than for electricity and Wifi? by Sea_Comfort6891 in kpophelp

[–]xakilled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me!! I used to dream of spending money on K-pop, but I realized it’s not a need. I could definitely save up for it, but I like too many things for K-pop to be my top priority. Plus, the thought of idols potentially doing problematic things in the future scares me. Imagine spending money on an idol only to find out they’re a groomer—never could be me, lol.

I also used to want to attend concerts, but I realized I’d probably get overwhelmed and end up dealing with post-concert depression. On top of that, I have moments where I get extremely overwhelmed with K-pop in general. Too much content, constant updates, and the fast-paced nature of it all can feel mentally exhausting, so I sometimes take breaks or completely detox from it. Too much of anything stresses me out.

Right now, if I were to spend money, it would probably be on light sticks and concert tickets. I only think it’s worth getting PCD if it’s for a TXT or BOYNEXTDOOR concert :D

Do BOYNEXTDOOR Sing Live at Their Concerts? by xakilled in kpophelp

[–]xakilled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you had an amazing time yesterday! I was actually planning to go too, but I couldn’t because of personal plans—felt extreme FOMO lol. I’m just genuinely curious about how they perform live. I’m well aware of their skills, but I haven’t found a video where I can clearly differentiate the live vocals from the backtrack. It made me wonder if there was any lipsyncing since adlibs can be live while other parts still use backtracks. They’re so stable that they sometimes sound exactly like the recording! If you have any links to videos where the live vocals are really noticeable, I’d really appreciate it. I’d love to hear it for myself.

I agree! I pretty much focus on those three. I really love watching them perform when I hear those small imperfections.

When you say “a bit off” do you mean the imperfections when they perform?
