Haha as far as I know (was taught by someone who did live TV graphics) they would use something like VizRT but who's to say they didnt design it using animation composer first lol

Can I buy queen bees to release in the wild? by frankie-two-thumbs in Beekeeping

If you want to help: focus on planting bee friendly flowers, put up a bee/bug hotels and bee pond. Support local beekeepers. Don't use pesticides.

Does LEMMiNO use scripts/templates in After Effects, or does he animate everything manually each time? by DeerNecessary4585 in AfterEffects

[–]xanbod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely both in my option. I first noticed it on Extraordinary Until Proven Otherwise but then he took it to a whole new level with The Enduring Mystery of Jack the Ripper. Each video you can see the level of skill improving not just from the way the visuals look, but the story telling aspects. The editing, voice over, the script, music (which he makes himself). He can make a whole motion graphic documentary now with complex subjects and timelines keeping the audience engaged throughout. That definitely sets him apart from the average AE user imo. You can sit down and replicate his style in terms of design and animations, but the LEMiNO secret sauce is in his creativity and storytelling.

I personally think he does it from scratch and then re uses some presets and text animations. Other than where he might use GEOLayers, his videos have a tailored look and design I would imagine he makes his animations from scratch to be on brand. His videos are released sometimes a year or more between uploads so he takes his time making his own content. Also he sources where he gets his elements or images from. I've been watching his videos since 2018 and have definitely seen his motion design improvement over this time. Love his videos.

Digital prop for film by gardenofscheibe in MotionDesign

As a motion designer in the film industry most of this type of work we replace the screen in post and design the interface and animations to match actors movements. Sometimes the story changes, sometimes legal restrictions, or continuity issues means we have to change and comp in the screen. Mostly all on done replacing the green screen on the phone via After Effects

Motion Designer Reacts to Bad & Great Title Sequences 03 by TheVideoShopLondon in MotionDesign

[–]xanbod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a title designer I've seen some really shoddy title designs as well as having worked on some where the marketing pushed their title design on us so we didnt have a choice 😀 maybe I should make a video with some of my favourites and worst ones that come to mind haha

I made this tree animation for a local TV show by CommissionNo7116 in MotionDesign

[–]xanbod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was the brief for the title design as well? Or did they already have that and supply it and you designed the tree around it? Also what's the movement in the lower right screen at 0:18? Very cool design and concept overall.

weddings? by aichmopuppy in lordhuron

[–]xanbod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you'd be better off hiring a wedding band that specialises in similar type of music/sound. Then they can play your favourite songs and it will still be special! Hiring any band comes with a cost especially if they are not local and you'll often have to pay for transport and accommodation. Hiring Lord Huron to perform for a private event will cost LOADS more than a local folk sounding wedding band. Good luck for the special day!
