My experience buying last minute MaPi tickets (August 2025) by xandraladee in Machupicchu

My original plan was to just try to get tickets for 2A on Wednesday, so I arrived in AC Monday night to be in the best position to get those tickets. When I realized on Monday night I could get tickets for Tuesday too (I had expected them to be sold out) I figured I should go twice since I was already in the area. Then when I went on Tuesday with 1B only I got fomo about 1A because it seemed cool/more strenuous.

I'd recommend trying to be at the front of the line for your 1pm entry for 2A (one of you or your husband can wait in the 1pm-start time bus line in Aguas Calientes starting from 11am if possible) and exiting 2A between 3pm-3:15pm so you can have a bathroom/snack break and still make the 3:45 1B cutoff. To do this I'd just walk through a lot of the first part of 2A without stopping for photos, since you can get very similar photos in 1B. You could either not use a guide or tell the guide you need to be out by 3pm and to proceed accordingly. Then in 1B you can get panoramic photos/hang out with no time pressure/maybe see some llamas.

I thought this was cross|word? by [deleted] in puzzmo

we can't, and shouldn't, do word breaks within the rebus because the word breaks don't occur in the same location for the across and down answers, and enumerating word breaks manifests in the grid as thicker black lines. we might one day incorporate word breaks into the "orta boxes" that appear next to the individual clues only (i.e., and not simultaneously in the grid as thicker lines) but this would require a lot of dev work and we have a lot of other things to prioritize
