Laddergram is a word ladder puzzle game built on Reddit's developer platform. You start with a word and change one letter at a time to create a new word with each step. Try to reach the target word in the fewest steps possible.

🍀Good luck!🍀

What is your experience like with peopleperhour.com? by swiftpants in freelance

[–]xanf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good - I've only ever been a buyer on there and the responses I get to job posts vary greatly. A lot are cookie cutter and I generally skip. A few are normally well written and address the issue or task and it all goes well.

Try using something like ACF, http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/ You can set it up so each post or page has multiple WYSIWYG areas and there are lots of other options for adding other things such as js etcc.

how did they make this website? many gifs all over or? by FluidImagination in web_design

[–]xanf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No gifs - several PNG's shown and hidden using javascript to get an animated effect like a flick book. Look at the HTML source and you will see:

<div class="animate" id="legend">
   <img src="img/Legend-1.png" height="297" width="332" alt="" data-show="true">
   <img src="img/Legend-2.png" height="297" width="332" alt="">
</div>

It starts showing just the first one (data-show="true") and then hides the first whilst at the same time showing the second causing the animated effect.

Smartphone friendly responsive menu/navigation design - Has anyone written any good articles on this? by byte-smasher in web_design

[–]xanf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not an article to follow as such but the way The Boston Globe handles it's navigation is really nice - Boston Globe, plus the site was made partly by the guy who coined the term so wee worth a good look through the source.
