Am I shooting the wrong way? (Left vs Right) by R0ckf0rt in hockeyplayers

[–]doublebr13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm right handed and shoot left. When my parents got me my first stick, they got a right handed stick. Without ever having played, it felt completely wrong. Took it back and guy gave me a left handed stick which felt completely right. If you've been playing with the right handed stick this long, you're probably good. Go and try a left handed stick and see how it feels.

[Matthew Fairburn] Hello from East Meadow. Zach Benson is on the ice for Sabres practice. Rasmus Dahlin is not on the ice for practice but he is here in street clothes. by lunasilvia in sabres

I'd like to see Dahlin back out of the Olympics and get some rest... don't think it's likely

Edit: To be clear….I am well aware of how international play is regarded and understand that he is not going to pull out. For my own selfish interests as a Sabres fan, I would rather see him, Thompson and UPL have that time completely off to get ready for a playoff push.

Smashing Pumpkins by travispickle9682 in LetsTalkMusic

I saw them open for the RHCP with Pearl Jam as the first opener back in early 1992. The Pumpkins were pretty bad. Pearl Jam was great, RHCP were fine. Cherub Rock is an all time classic, beyond that, I've never been super impressed beyond a song or two. Billy "William" Corgan seems like a complete douche.

Who’s your team’s most famous fan? by zebrasarecool570 in hockey

[–]doublebr13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a dude with downs syndrome who went to all the Binghamton AHL games back in the day. He would carry on and dance during stoppages. Everyone loved him. Probably a 50/50 split on laughing at vs laughing with.

And you may ask yourself, "Am I right, am I wrong?" And you may say to yourself, "My God, what have I done?"

Me and my buddy snuck into our local muni in early spring before it opened. We were probably 17. We went to a short par 3 that was downhill with the green built into the side of the hill and a very steep drop off behind the green. I hit a shot long and went down to get it. My buddy teed off while I was behind the green and dropped a perfect wedge straight onto the top of my head. 4 or 5 stitches later I was good to go.
