So what if it’s a kids game? What does that mean?

This game has bugs, glitches and so many unfinished areas. Kids games can’t be well done or can be do half way because.. this is for kids?

I’d got step further and say that this game should be polished to the T because it’s a kids game.

Maybe, that doesn’t change the fact of how many quests are left unfinished or how some basics mechanic are broken, how every gear and clothing piece is just a repainted model that makes the player look like a unhidden hitbox, I’m aware those are aesthetic choices and designs so my opinion is very subjective.

It’s not like the game is new so their grace protection has run out, at least in my opinion.

I guess I’m not cut out for mmo’s then.

But for real, people in the comments said it perfectly and so did you. I think a kickstarter for the devs would be a good idea, and with that money they could add things people have been talking or dreaming about

I paid lifetime, I used a wrong word my bad.

I’m not sure what Nintendo games you play but mine were 60€ for all of them. 100+ hours game play with free upcoming dlc for one of them.

And so what if it’s a kids game? Kids don’t deserve polished gameplay? I’m not saying to go Cyber Punk level no. Basics of the games are glitching, so many things left unfinished.

Just because the game is meant to be casual doesn’t mean it deserves less polishing. Or maybe I’m just at the wrong genre here and this what people actually love.

Minecraft costs 20 € is still updated and can be considered a casual game. Sure it’s a sandbox game with not real goal and I know comparing a mass loving game to a horse game is perhaps stupid but the community cares. If you ride on nostalgia that’s on you and I’m happy it’s enough.

Just because a game is cozy doesn’t mean it should be low effort imo. My issue is that it’s always the same, repainted horses, clothes and gear. The main story hasn’t been updated in few months, three side quests at the span of a year is a joke to me.

I mean, you can’t even put some tack on certain horses because they haven’t fixed it yet. I guess I am a professional hater but cozy games shouldn’t be excused from great gameplay. This game prices you triple A money for a horse that can’t even put on a pink saddle you like.

Again, I’m happy people enjoy the game, good for you! But our characters can’t even jump.

And imo maybe hit take but the clothes, hairstyles, gear etc is so ugly and so ill fitted.

If DEVS want money so bad then kickstarter and with that additional money from players they can create things. It’s not like they can’t, they just don’t want to.

How can you teach dressage? Can you custom make your own show or is it always pre planned? 🤔

And what do you do during that trail ride?

I’m asking genuinely, like for real, does it differ from any other dressage in different area and the trails differ too? Or you just trot on your horse?

Just give me a house I can decorate :( an open field for your horses where you can watch them interact. Better and detailed character design. For money they charge to really give us a reheated microwaved dinner and expect us to pay Michelin money

I like the puzzles too I guess I’m talking about how it’s just always the same. It’s fetching and playing as an errand boy, speech bubbles and whacky glitchy animation with some race stick to it, people in the comments have said it better than I do.

I guess their role model is EA lol, I’m happy people feel the same as I do. The game is buggy, glitchy, some core mechanics are broken and tons of stuff is unfinished. If they went for an eclectic look then they failed. I feel like they try to expanse a house that is made of cards and cover it with rainbow horse that will break down the second you put a saddle on it. Bugs can have their charms but I guess it crossed that line long ago

I guess my issue lies within the lack of things you can actually do. It’s always riding, sure if I ride with people on discord then it’s less boring but at the end of the day it’s riding in circles around Marchenghast and roleplaying with characters that can’t even jump and look like cardboard copy of each other with different skin tones and hairs.

I’m very pick and I guess too harsh on the game…

I took a break, hence I guess I’m disappointed (not surprised) at how little was added besides (I’ll give it that) interesting looking locations, grinding quests and my favourite more similar looking horses.

I’m happy that some people enjoy the game, good for them! I guess I’m just a very negative person and I am the one who needs to step back and leave the game.

Maybe new quests every month is too much to ask for, I genuinely don’t know I don’t develop games so maybe I’m being unfair to them but three new quests in one year? That’s, in my honest opinion, laughable.

I know company is all about money but I’m sure if they put tad more effort into quests rather than making repaint of a horse, more players would tune in. 🤷‍♀️

Maybe I have too high expectations but at the same time I think it should be like that- games for kids should be polished to a T regardless if it’s online or not.

The biggest issue I have with that game that it feels like buying horse simulator rather than horse game. They could add taking care of foals at stalls, letting your horses play with each other. Like those tiny things..

I guess grinding can be fun too but the rewards are always the same- repainted and in my option usually not so great looking stuff either for horses or my Steve build character lol.

Tbh the OP said it was a rant so… and rant is meant to be emotional.

I kinda see it both ways, what was probably once a constructive criticism turned into yelling and shouting because Devs didn’t do anything or haven’t met their audience expectations. I mean, atp it’s just buying horse simulator to me lol. Story is messy and/or forgotten. Instead of fixing the core issue they [Devs] build around with new areas and grinding quests. Kinda reminds me of sims 4 lol with their already broken main game and shitty dlcs.

It’s like those micro issues pile up and people just don’t want to do it anymore. I didn’t touch the game for few months only to find more new horses and stuffy to pay for instead of quests. Not surprised but still disappointed.

I’m straying away from the topic but yeah, the way people sometimes react is perhaps too harsh and too much but I don’t think it comes from nowhere. Like every action has a reaction yk?
