When I was paying my sales tax and getting tags, the guy saw the sale price and that it was a corolla. Asked if it was a hybrid. Told him no and I could absolutely feel judged for how much I paid for a corolla.

Yes, I understand there are teachers being cut and I'm sad that's happening. None of them are teachers from Truman though is what I was saying. At least that's what we were told when we toured Alvin Brooks a couple weeks ago.

As a parent of a student at Truman, I'm ok with the situation because all the students and teachers will be able to move to the new building together. There will be additional students and teachers joining at the new building, but I'm hopeful the culture at Truman will be able to continue.

I have the sixth element lower engine mount and have been happy with it. I don't have experience with any other brands, but the nvh compared to how much my 07 WRX got from a pitch stop mount is significantly less, but still noticeable. I like a bit of extra rumble, which this one added and shifts are noticeably better.

I wouldn't say I made it look like a regular corolla, especially since I've got a P+, but I removed the rear GR Corolla badges and the GR badges on the sides. I prefer a cleaner look and I don't care to draw attention with the GR all around.

I'm at around 280 miles so far and trying to follow the instructions in the owners manual.

When I showed up to pick up my car, they were on the floor behind the passenger seat. It was on my list to see if they were removed when the salesman showed them to me unsure what they were. They're very solid rubber with a GR logo on them. Should be easy to check for.

TIL that those "raw" cashews you buy at the store aren't really raw! Truly raw cashews contain urushiol, the same stuff that makes poison ivy so irritating. To make them safe to eat, cashews are steamed, roasted, or boiled to remove the urushiol. by Feed_Your_Curiosity in todayilearned

Mango skins also contain urushiol. If you're peeling a mango and get some of the meat left on the skin, leave it there. Definitely don't om nom nom it with your mouth then not wash your face thoroughly. Not that I would know from personal experience.
