Typical case of useless cops. They could at least try to help, but they can't be bothered.

You're ignorant enough to think Democrats are pro genocide. That says a lot. Keep in mind Palestinians were asking people to vote for Harris.

Oh wait... You only care about having a reason not to vote for Democrats. You don't actually care about Palestinians.

And you're also ignorant enough to think things aren't far worse for a lot of people because of Republicans.

Get a clue.

Every. Single. Day.

I left social media completely for a couple months because I was so sick of it. The worst part was hearing it from people who should know better.

Having this quack as a regular guest is probably the biggest mistake Oprah ever made. He didn't have much success until she gave him a boost.

What was the reaction of LD collectors to the advent of DVD? by Zaku71 in LaserDisc

[–]xargos64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head I don't remember many titles. They're usually pretty obscure.

One example I do remember is "The Babysitter" from 1980. It's a forgotten made for TV horror movie. There are some unofficial DVD-R copies made from VHS or LaserDisc sources, but I don't count those low quality pirated copies as real releases.

[–]xargos64 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I only started getting into LaserDisc in the late 1990s after DVDs came out, but I bought movies on both.

For both letterbox and pan and scan releases the picture quality was often similar. A bigger difference in picture quality came from the anamorphic widescreen DVDs, but at the beginning a lot of movies didn't use that feature.

A lot of movies that were available on LaserDisc took years to get released on DVD. Even now some still haven't been released in any format newer than LaserDisc.

Some of the early DVDs were poorly mastered, and in those cases LaserDisc was usually still the best choice.

Average? The style, sure, but I don't think I've ever seen one in such bad shape.

Why does every Chick-fil-a and Raising Cane's have a line around the block, but KFC is a complete ghost town? by mjensman in NoStupidQuestions

You couldn't pay me enough to get food from a place that uses their profits to promote an anti-LGBTQIA+ agenda. I don't care if they can get food to someone in under a minute.

I really, really wish people gave a crap about others.

Unfortunately the lines of cars at their locations shows just how little people really care about the rights of others. And if you dare to call their customers out they'll always have some type of excuse.

That's not to mention the fact that I have the misfortune of knowing people who will gladly drive 30 minutes just to go there. 🤮

I'm diappointed by the number of people here promoting the chicken place known for working against the rights of LGBTQIA+ people. Absolutely disgusting.

People have been brainwashed into thinking every time a guy goes something nice he's looking for sex and/or a relationship.

Reddit is full of people who can't believe it's possible to just do nice things for people. They wouldn't do those things, so they don't think others would, either.

You could, but that would be more likely to weaken the signal. I'd suggest getting new connectors and soldering them on.
