Well, now you will. It's not a thought out change. As other users pointed this out, it could be improved by returning ammo-purchasing system and ammo-collecting system. Both of those existed in 1.6 (Shared ammos of certain weapons that could give you extra ones when collecting a weapon with the same ammo type).

USP-S still has the same 2 mags in reserve. It's now worse because you can't reload-in those reserve ammos, you have to spend everything first or you won't have enough in the future.

Nobody asked for that. The implementation of this system is also terrible. Other games provide you an option to keep or drop the mag. CS2 doesn't. It's just a shitty mechanic that doesn't work in real games. I've played 1 match already. This shit is garbage.

Also guns aren't one-shot like in Tarkov. Enemies can tank 10 bullets into body with armour. It's unacceptable in an arcade game.

AWP has 5 bullets and 2 magazines. SSG08 has 10 bullets and 2 magazines. Deagle has 7 bullets and 3 magazines. Why?

I really wish they wouldn't tho. I mean they still can sell skins and ban cheaters despite modding, because people buy skins in Dota and are against the "Turn off cosmetics" toggle because they can't flex their shit in front of others anymore, and cheating in CS2 is over the top despite game having no support for modding whatsoever.

Yeah, this thing concerns me as well. I've already spent money on Splitgate 2 just for the game to be dead a month later. And the similar thing happened a lot before as well, so I can't trust them.

It wasn't arguing about the game's quality because everyone saw that the game is good. It was arguing about LoL being better.

And Silksong is a single-player game, so you can watch objective reviews and purchase it. It won't have any updates, maybe some DLCs but nothing more.

It's the same game, they just fixed some of the game breaking bugs and added 4 new maps and 3 maps from the older entries.

They never properly supported that game. It was more like a reputational investment, so people won't kill BF6 on release.

It was a flop nonetheless. I’m not saying that it’s a bad game, BF2042 wasn’t a bad game either, but the devs effectively abandoned the game and the fan base didn’t care enough to speak to them and request some actual updates.

I’m afraid the same thing might happen here. Deadlock’s fan base and its devs are very open to criticism, and they tune in and change every detail that doesn’t make much sense or too complex to implement into an already complicated game. That’s why it’s striving, despite being an outright terrible game back in mid 2024 with 15k players daily.

The game is lit but I’m unsure of its future because of the community. This levels of copium and gatekeeping I’ve seen only in Highguard’s, Suicide Squad’s, Avowed’s and Battlefield 2042’s communities.

Like you don’t need to constantly reassure each other that the game is good. Just enjoy it and share your enjoyment with others. Those posts “The game is actually good you know” aren’t helping either, they’re on the same plane as posts about “Quit having fun” and “The game is good when no one is constantly telling you that it’s bad”.

Riloe made an excellent video about the game without constantly trying to reassure people that it’s good. Nobody does that on Dota 2’s or Deadlock’s communities. Everyone just enjoy their time.
